I actually had an unusual Godot theory....and I would like to post it out. I am hoping that you guys could explain the flaws. If anything,it might make an interesting fanfiction idea. If you have any random theories about the game, feel free to post them hear!
I believe that Godot and Luke had planed the crime together. When you think about it-it kind of makes some sence...though again, this is just a theory..
Godot had just awoken from his coma, only to learn that Mia had died, and the only one who might have been able to protect her was the same man that had allowed his 'killer' to go free. Enraged, Godot became a prosecutor, with intent to test how Phoenix Wright could handle a trial.
The only problem with this,is that it's rare for Phoenix to take cases. He only takes one at a time, and he wouldn't be the only prosocuter who might get picked for this case. Rather then waiting around some more, he met with Luke.He had to have met Luke before the crime, because Luke knew that Godot was a prosecutor before he had even had a single case. The only way he could have known this,is if Godot had told him. With Luke's personality, not only did 'he' half to be famous, so did his friends.
Phoenix Wright did say that with there personalities, they would ether be best friends or worst enemies(Did I spell that right?).Both would work out with this theory-If they were best friends,Godot simply wanted to kill two birds with one stone-helping his friend out with the idea that a guilty verdict could be an alibi-and alow him to test Phoenix Wright's ability in court. If they were foes, then it's also possible that he gave this information falsely. Based on the fifth case,Godot wouldn't care who got hurt at all..as long as he got to see just how Nick was.He also was able to convince some people to aid him in the fifth case,so it wouldn't be too farfatched to say he did it before as well.
I personally think that Godot was the one who convinced Luke to steel the sacred urn. Even Luke would have bound to see that the urn had been broken countless times, and probably would have went after something a little less valued. It would make the reason why it was stolen far more epic- instead of,"he just thought it was important",it would be 'it was bate to force Phoenix into the trial. After all,Godot had dated Mia,and it seams likely that Mia would have mentioned something about the vase, sometime. The vase was advertised, and that how he knew were it was.(am I the only one who wants to see a comic depicting every single character breaking that urn?)
The first part of the trial was probably planed out,but everything after that first trial was probably due to luck.
I am going to take this a step farther, and state that Godot was the person in the photograph. True, the urn could have been stolen earlier...but then the urn was 'falsely stolen' on the same night. Godot would have had to take his visor off to do this-but if the urn was stolen earlier, then he easily could have hid that in the box.All he had to do was walk in a strait line, and get seen by the photo..but somewhere along the line, the broach had ripped off-probably caught on something Godot couldn't see. (It can be argued that it couldn't have been Luke in the photograph, because his nose couldn't have fit in the mask...but that's more of a graphical err, and this game is known for them.)
This would explain why Godot had the broach in the first place-it's really doubtful that the police would have missed something like that broach, and Phoenix Wright did check the statue of Amy Fey.So ether Godot always had it, or he had investigated first.
Nick did say that it was because of Luke's program that the computer data said that the photograph went off at that date-but that was just to put doubt into his story. There really was no prof ether way that the photograph was taken earlier or later-just a theory.Of course,Godot couldn't prove it the other way-or, he could have but it would have admitted being involved in the crime.
Even though Luke Atmey was eventually found guilty, Godot did get what he wanted to know-the only reason Phoenix had won the trail was because he had let him.(He couldn't deny Mia's request, after all...and he was still in shock to see her on Nick's side.)
I..I think it would make some sense, and it might explain a few loose ends....at lest, that's what I think.

The biggest problem with that is, if Luke and Godot were in cahoots, don't you think Luke would have ratted Godot out when he was convicted?
Also, Luke didn't steal the Sacred Urn because he thought it was valuable, he stole it so he would have an alibi on the night Kane Bullard was murdered. Luke couldn't have cared less about the urn.

Luke couldn't have cared less about the urn.True,true. The only reason I could think of for that, was this:
It would probably sound very insane if he did rat Godot out.
Besides, this was just something odd I thought of one day,and in a way,it sort of makes sense. Not so much that it would be canon-but enough that it's decent for a fanfiction...and besides,I had too much time on my hands!Other random thoughts I've had:
The computer data that ron stole/sold, eventually led to the creation of the MC bomber. Unlikely-but it would have been cool.
Phoenix probably stole some of Godot's coffee and held it hostage...that's why he won in the third case. (Completely wrong...but..the idea made me laugh.)
Dahlia and Iris's names may be references to other capcom games. A villain in Silent hill is named Dahlia, and a character in megaman is also named Iris.

Didn't it say somewhere in the game that Godot was known to drink 17 cups of coffee a case?

Huh that is a good question I don't know. Maybe it is because of the poison that Dahlia put in his coffee?

Well the number 17 must mean something to him. Another thing do you notice the silver ring on Godot's left pointer finger, I wonder why that's there? I don't think he's married so I wonder.

You're thinking of the ring finger. If a ring is on his pointer finger, it could mean anything or nothing. Maybe he just likes it there.
As for the coffee habit, I don't know. It's probably because they wanted the new prosecutor to have something to abuse Phoenix with, like the others prosecutors. Miles got emotional abuse (for a while), von Karma tazered him, Franziska whips him regularly, and Godot shooting lazurs out of his visor would be weird, even for Ace Attorney. And the number 17? I think with that much coffee, an average person would be up for about three days straight. It's probably to show how addicted he is.
