This is the map of Island of Nikku and all of it's locations - as well as the areas surrounding it. With this, you can finally get a visualization of where the nikkus live!
RULES:
Failure to follow these rules (as well as the shop's, guild's and Gaia's) can result in punishment, so be sure to read up! -Please read the thread before roleplaying! - I understand that this is one huge wall of text, but I at least ask you to read up on a place that you're thinking of roleplaying in to see if you even can~ -If a place is off limits, it's off limits! - If you start a roleplay in a place where nikkus aren't allowed to go yet, Kotehok will come and kick your nikkus out - as well as yell at them. So don't do it! -Don't try to go out with your nikkus and discover a forbidden place - We will have events where nikkus can discover the new places. If you decide that your nikkus will go out by themselves and do so, then again, Kotehok will kick them out and yell at them. -Be reasonable when thinking up your own places - I will let you make up little places within the 20 main points, however, if your place is just completely unreasonable (ex: a bustling city complete with skyscrapers and shopping malls in the forest, or a complete paradise with flowers and hot nikku babes in the desert), then Kotehok will come and blow it up. Some strange things can be made, but PLEASE don't make it completely impossible!
FAQ:
Q: Why do we need a map? A: So your nikkus simply aren't just kind of doing things in an unnamed place/empty void like they do in the main thread.
Q: Why are there SO many places? A: To make a larger world to explore and have fun in, of course!
Q: How exactly can nikkus get to the tops of mountains or the middles of deserts? A: Well, if you start a roleplay in there, you don't really have to explain it that much. But, otherwise, they walk. So, if you start out in Nikku City and want to get to Bos Clearing... your nikku better pack some walking booties.
Q: What's this about making up locations? A: You don't have to just prance around in the middle of a completely plain field or forest - you can make up some little places to explore in (flowers, rocky/hilly places, etc.etc.). Like in real life, there are some little landmarks and peculiar places in the wilderness. So, feel free to make up little places like that.
Q: Can they be added to this main post? A: If they're reasonable places that can exist in that certain area, and are a little more than just a hollowed-out log, then probably yes! We will probably be browsing through RPs and see these places ourselves, but if it's been a while since you've posted one and want it to be added, you can PM the mule.
Q: My nikku is a regular ol' basic nikku and would like to go to one of the places where only special kinds are allowed. Is there anyway for them to do that? A: In most of these kinds of areas, if a nikku is accompanied by a nikku that's allowed to enter, they can usually go in. Some places, however, are strictly off limits to any other type of nikku, no matter what.
Q: Can the goddesses ever come out and see the regular nikkus? A: The goddesses are fairly lazy creatures, and usually only come out in large events. However, they have been known to be briefly seen when large congregations of nikkus gather - but it is an extremely rare event.
Have any other questions? PM the mule!

1. NIKKU CITY
Nikku City is a large establishment that was founded by the first humans to discover the island. Its location, on a peninsula in the middle of a large lake, was picked for its beauty (and the fact that it's right in the middle of the island). The largest population of nikkus is located here, as well as all of the human population - including the Shady Merchant and Island of Nikku. In this place, humans and nikkus coexist peacefully, and even go to various shopping malls, parks, and other places together. The temperature is kept to perfectly suit all nikkus, and there are even a few ponds around for the water nikkus. It is the safest, busiest place to be on the island.

2. 3. 4. 5. - THE PLAINS
2. Mana Grasslands - The Mana Grassland is rarely explored, mostly due to the fact that there is only one bridge connecting it to the rest of the island. Thus, the only way to really get across to it is to go through the forest or find that one bridge. Because of this and its extremely large size, many parts of it are unknown to most nikkus.
AREAS WITHIN THE MANA GRASSLANDS:
None yet~
3. City Outskirts - Probably the most explored field on the island, the City Outskirts are directly connected to Nikku City. Many young nikkus have their first adventures in this place, and many others cut through here to get to the forest. It mostly serves as a very large playground for the younger nikkus of the island.
AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OUTSKIRTS:
Raspberry patch - Near the forests, there is a patch of land where delicious wild raspberries grow. Mango and Andy discovered this place while on their way to Bos Forest.
4. Nira Plains - The smaller plain south of the Mana Grasslands, the Nira Plains was one of the first places seen by the humans who had discovered the island. Nikkus who desire to get to the beach (or nikkus on the beach who desire to get to the city) have to cross the Nira Plains to do so. While it is not a particularly dangerous trek, it has very large, open spaces, so it can be troublesome to travel in on a hot day when not prepared. It also connects to the Shifting Sand Desert.
AREAS WITHIN NIRA PLAINS:
None yet~
5. Molto Field - The smallest plain on the whole island, Molto Field exists between a fork in one of the rivers. Many nikkus do not care to go to it, for it leads to the desert, which is a very dangerous area to go to. Those who have gone to it find it to be a very beautiful area, with gorgeous views of the river, forest, and mountains. Many nikku couples come here for picnics and dates.

6. THE MAJI RIVERS
The Maji Rivers spring from Maji Lake - the body of water surrounding Nikku City. The northeastern rivers come from the mountains and eventually form together, while the western rivers, both north and south, divide the island and end in a waterfall at the very edges. The rivers usually flow very slowly, but the southwestern river is very rapid (which is why all attempts to build a bridge have failed). In these rivers is a plentiful supply of freshwater fish of all kinds, which is where the city gets most of its food. Be careful not to fall in!

7. NABA BEACH
The first place newcomers to the Island of Nikku end up, Naba Beach is a huge expanse of sand on the southern edge of the island. It is always very hot, but because it is right against the ocean, it is not too hard to cool off. Many events happen here, such as parties, weddings, dates, and others. All across the beaches are various ice cream, hot dog, and snack stalls for nikkus to munch on while having a good time. Naba Beach is the number one party place for nikkus across the island who can stand the heat and water.

8. SHIFTING SAND DESERT
The desert, located on the eastern part of the island, is one of the most dangerous places for a nikku to be. Often times nikkus end up there when they just keep walking in the Nira Plains - the vegetation very gradually disappears, so nikkus do not notice where they're headed until they're right in the middle of the desert and see nothing but sand dunes and the occasional cactus. It is practically a barren wasteland of heat and sand that is almost impossible to escape from, as mirages cause nikkus to just get even more lost. Add in some quicksand and sandstorms, and you get a horrifying place that nikkus have a terrible time escaping from.

9. 10. - BOS FOREST
9. Bos Forest - An incredibly large forest that takes up most of the northern half of the island, Bos Forest is a seemingly endless expanse of trees and foliage. It is very rarely explored by nikkus due to how difficult it is to get through all of the large, wild plants growing in it. Many legends surround Bos Forest - illusions, ghosts, cannibalistic tribes, ghost towns. large freak prehistoric nikkus... these have all been said to exist in the forest. As far as anyone knows, though, all that's in there are trees and trees and trees and trees.
PLACES WITHIN BOS FOREST:

10. Bos Clearing - In the very northwestern corner of the island, there is an area completely devoid of trees. In modern times, it mostly serves as a landmark for lost nikkus to figure out their location. Back before humans discovered the land, however, it was said that this area was used as a place to hold many festivities, such as May Day celebrations or ancient rituals. Lately though, it has mostly been deserted, but sometimes old relics from past years have been discovered under the ground.

11. 12. - OROD MOUNTAINS
11. Orod Peak - In the very northeastern corner of the island, a huge mountain pierces through the sky. Orod Peak is looked at as one of the scariest places on the island - it is bitterly cold, and is known to have had avalanches and rockslides. It is a steep climb, and nikkus not skilled in the art of mountain climbing often tumble down in defeat fairly quickly. Atop the mountain on the snowy peak is where snow nikkus are said to have originated and still live.
PLACES WITHIN OROD PEAK:
None yet~
12. Orod Mountain Range - Surrounding Orod Peak are four smaller mountains. While they are roughly half the size of the peak, and not all have snowcapped tops, they are just as dangerous. Nikkus have often run out of supplies while climbing these mountains trying to get to Orod Peak, and some have even mistaken them for the peak (and felt like complete idiots when they looked up and saw the mountain they seeked towering over them). Groups of snow and mountain nikkus also make their home on these peaks.

13. KOTEHOK'S PALACE
High in the sky, slightly to the east of the island, is Kotehok's Palace. No nikkus on the island have ever been there, though Lorne claims to be from the palace. According to her, it is a magical place that floats in the air due to the goddess's power. The fields are lush with flowers, and a river of the purest water flows across it (and spills out over the sides, into the ocean). In a thick layer of fog lies the goddess's grand palace - an entire city as large as one of the Orod Mountains, made entirely of solid gold. Although Lorne claims to know this by being there, most nikkus can see exactly what she describes from the base of the island - waterfalls in the sky and a glimmering glimpse of gold reflecting in the sun. However, Lorne also says that Kotehok is not alone in this palace....

14. 15. 16. 17. - THE BANTAM ARCHIPELAGO
To the southwest of the island lies a small group of islands that are barely visible from the mainland - nikkus have dubbed it the Bantam Archipelago. However, due to vicious storms that surround it, no nikku is able to swim there. Thus, very small amounts of information are known.
14. Mt. Topp - Splitting the sky is Mt. Topp, a very skinny mountain. It is thought to be almost as tall as Orod Peak, and seems to be almost completely vertical.
This place is OFF LIMITS to ALL nikkus!
15. Flat Field Island - An island thought to be about the size of Nikku City, Flat Field Island is very plain and uninteresting from the mainland. No visible landmarks can be seen.
This place is OFF LIMITS to ALL nikkus!
16. Fiorenza Hill - An island that appears slightly bigger than Flat Field Island, Fiorenza Hill almost appears to be made entirely out of flowers. Like the name implies, Fiorenza Hill is thought to have a very rugged and jagged landscape.
This place is OFF LIMITS to ALL nikkus!
17. Paradise Isle - There is rumored to be another lush island in the archipelago - however, it is much, much smaller. Due to all of the harsh waves and the distance between it and the island, it is merely thought of as a mirage or myth by nikkus on the mainland. However, a certain petite group of nikkus claim to have come from there...

18. 19. - LANDS OF MYTH
These places can be seen from the mainland, however since they seem so bizarre, many legends surround them. Some nikkus even claim that they are not real - that it is merely an optical illusion in the sky that makes them see these places. Many others insist that there is something strange about these areas, and won't rest until they figure it out...
18. Red Coal Mountain - South of the island is Red Coal Mountain, which, as the name implies, is a large mountain that is deep red in color. While water nikkus are able to swim to it and congregate at the base of the mountain, they are not able to climb it and discover its secrets due to it's craggy exterior. When they gaze at the top of it to see if they can find anything, all they see is red rocks, climbing higher and higher in the sky... and.... something flying...?
This place is OFF LIMITS to ALL nikkus! Water nikkus may swim to the base, but there's not much to do...
19. Moln Dimma - In the skies on the western side of the mountain exists a huge cloud of fog that overshadows part of the Mana Grasslands. While its position in the sky may shift slightly, it is always on the western part - no matter the weather or season - and never changes size. While to most it just seems to be a bizarrely large cloud, some claim that the "birds" encircling it aren't what they seem to be...

20. VLADEROK'S CASTLE
Underneath the shadow of Kotehok's Palace exists a large crater. The inside of it glows with the light of the magma at the base, and on a small island at the very bottom is a large, crooked tower. Legend has it that this is where the evil goddess Vladerok exists - the sister of Kotehok that was banished to this place for betraying her and the nikkus. Ever since that time, Vladerok waits for curious nikkus to swim or sail out to her tower, then kidnaps them and makes them her minions. Nikkus who have made it out there and lived to tell about it were often driven to madness shortly after returning...
