So yes I finished the book. I only have a part-time job right now and its evenings and weekends so I had lots of time during the day.
So I couldn't be any happier with Confessor. It made me sad it made me happy and the end couldn't have been any better. I love happy endings.
But of course I do have some questions and comments. So if you haven't read the whole book don't read them.
1. Do you think Kahlan and Richard could ever have any children? I know Shota has warned them not to but then Richard had the idea that she had seen that Kahlan would have a monster child from Jagang, if his plans had of worked out. So I am wondering if they can have kids.
2. Did the chimes have an everlasting affect on magic? Did the dragons regain their health or was the damage already done? Same with the night wisps, do you think they are ok now?
3. I am wondering exactly how many of the sisters of the light there was in the end. Also how many people there was in the end.
4. I can't believe Six was Shota's daughter. I guess Shota never mentioned it because she wanted to take care of her herself.
5. Do you think they destroyed all the Books of Counted Shadows as well as Chainfire and all the books pertaining to it? If you think they didn't then what would be the purpose of keeping them?
6. Were wizards always being born during the series or is it because the chimes are finally gone that wizards are being born again?
7. Back to Kahlan and Richard having children. Wouldn't Kahlan need to have a daughter in order to keep Confessors alive? Just because they got rid of Order doesn't mean that there isn't anymore people capable of doing bad things right? So they would need a Confessor still.
8. Do you think Nicci will ever find another love? Or will she be in love with Richard for the rest of her life? I like Nicci I hope she did find someone.
9. Do you think another war wizard will be born? I suppose Richard could do the same thing as Barracus in the Temple of Winds to insure that one would be born....If one isn't born then the ability to wield subtractive magic would die out. Subtractive magic isn't all that bad either, so I would think that they would need it.
10. Maybe I missed it. But was the Beast destroyed?
Hmm I think that's all the thoughts I have blaugh

Okay, here we go. *Takes a deep breath*
1. Absolutely. I think that Kahlan and Richard can still have children and I couldn't see them not doing everything in their power to stop Shota from trying to kill their children.
2. Yes, I do believe that the chimes had an everlasting effect, however, Richard sent their taint to that new world that he created and so allowed for creatures of magic such as dragons and nightwisps to recover.
3. As far as how many Sisters of the Light there were, it is unable to be figured out. Remember that they had hundreds of Sisters at the Palace of the Prophets so it's an unknown number. What do you mean by how many people were there in the end?
4. Shota was not Six's mother, but she did use her witch woman ability to look like Six's mother. remember, she did the same thing to Richard in WFR, and she did the same thing to Chase and Rachael in Confessor.
5. In the Book of Life, Nicci mentions that once the true key is used with the Boxes of Orden, then the boxes are destroyed. Reason tells me that Richard wouldn't neccesarily destroy the Books of Counted Shadow or Chainfire, but store them were no one else can get to them like in the Temple of the Winds perhaps.
6. I think that since Richard brought back the Temple of the Winds that the gift was starting to become more common amongst those born and not because of the taint of the chimes being sent off.
7. Yes, like before I think that the two of them will start having little ones of their own.
8. Hopefully Nicci will find someone to love and not just Richard, but he will have big shoes to fill.
9. More than likely another war wizard will be born, but they are much more rare than a prophet is. As far as subtractive dieing out, I think that with the Winds being back, we can look forward to more wizard's being born with both sides of the gift.
10. Yes, Richard obliterated the beast when he was in the underworld. The beast had wrapped itself around Richard and after Denna's spirit had left, Richard unleashed a blast of additive magic, which was not supposed to be possible within the underworld. It explains that when he did that, the beast was gone from both worlds.

Yay thanks for replying! And thanks for clearing some things up.
3. When I said how many people were left in the end, I meant that since the Imperial Order and everyone else devoted to those beliefs were banished to another world, how many were left in this one. Because it seems that the Imperial Order killed a lot of people and I was just trying to speculate how many people there were. Yeah it seems kinda silly now that I think about it.
4. Oh. Haha I can't believe I missed that. I suppose when they were describing what she looked like I wasn't paying attention. I was too excited lol.
10. Ah. Yes now I remember.
So do you think that if Terry was to make more books on Kahlan and Richard that it would be about their children? I find that a lot of authors once done with a set of characters will base a new book about their children so that way they can still include the original characters but create a new plotline.

Finally I've finished reading!
I absolutely loved the book.
Shota definitely wasn't six's mother, just just appeared that way as lophus mentioned. I also agree that the creatures of magic will begin to heal since the taint is in the other world now.
I was so happy for cara at the end, that was really cute.
So..umm do you guys think Zedd and Verna are going to get together romantically, or is he too old for her?
As beautiful and intelligent as Nicci is she will have no problem finding someone to love her, I mean I'm sure she will always love Richard but I don't think she'll stay alone forever.

Well, as far as how many people were left, it had to be a few hundred thousand since the D'Haran army was still around.
Teryy has said that the Sword of Truth series is really just a prequel into the lives of Richard and Kahlan. He has also mentioned that he will continue to write about their different struggles from here on out. Not to mention the fact that he is getting ready to start writing a new book, but he hasn't said anything about what genre he is going to create it in.
I don't know about Zedd and Verna, mostly due to how much she loved Warren and Terry has written about how heart broken she has been since Faith of the Fallen.

Yea Verna was heart broken but Zedd and her living together at the keep, teaching young wizards, you never know.
Im surprised Aide went with someone else, I thought her and Zedd had a thing going on, like in on of the earlier books didn't he let her get on his wizards rock and they insinuated stuff. I don't know I just thought they went together.
Also do you think now there will never be any more mord-sith after the current ones die off? I mean Richard isn't putting anymore through training right? Who will protect the future Lord Rahls?

Yea like maybe have the girls volunteer instead of kidnapping them, and not killing their parents would be a plus, lol.
Maybe it could be Cara who would open a new school of mordsith, she was like the unofficial leader of them anyways.

I just can't see Richard allowing young girls, even those that actually volunteer, to become Mord-Sith. He has too much of an understanding of the madness that Mord-Sith live with to teach young girls how to handle pain and protect the Lord Rahl. I just don't see it happening even behind his back.
Yes, Zedd and Adie did have a thing going on, at least as Miki posted, they did insinuate their private exploits.

Well....I wasn't...............all that disappointed by the ending...I mean....I loved the fact that Richard was able to create a place for the Imperial Order to live without magic....but it upset me that Jennsen and her husband decided to go as well...*sighes*
But on a happier note.......CARA AND BENJAMIN GOT MARRIED!. *squeals* I loved the fact that the Mord-sith kept to the no wearing dresses thing and wore WHITE leather instead of their usual red. That was cute.
I'm so happy that Jennsen was going to have a baby to.....but I just wish that Richard and Kahlan could have had one as well. *sighes* Unless Shota decided to continue her thing about the Male Confessor ordeal.
*sighes* I don't know....the ending was so happy..and I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Really I was kind of happy that Jennsen decided to leave with the other Pillars of creation because that means that the magic in Richards world will continue on.
I thought the white leather was pretty cool too.

I finished the book!!! I absolutely loved it! I have never read another book that made me feel... well, really feel for the characters. It was amazing. I really want to read more about Richard and Kahlan. I want to read about them having children. And everything that happens from what Richard did with Orden, because there were other things that he did that wasn't mentioned.
I also want to see Nicci be happy with someone.
And the ending! I loved that Cara and Benjamin got married. With some of the things in that last chapter you saw just how much some of the characters had changed from the first books. Such as Rikka with a pink ribbon and Berdine crying in happiness.
I would also like to see Berdine with someone else, seeing as she lost Raina near the start.
So, fantastic books and I'm disappointed to have finished them because they were just so great.

Ever have the idea of maybe Nicci and Berdine getting together? Maybe Nicci will flow that way, you know since she cant have Richard and come on, in her past guys only used her as an object... Just an idea.

Do you mean Nicci and Berdine? Cos Raina's dead... I'm not sure if that would happen. Despite what Nicci went through with those men, I think she may be more traditional... then again, she might change. I have absolutely no idea. But if that were to happen it would be good, just to see them both happy... happier...
