The area of the forum I know the most about is nearly dead. This must be fixed... *schemes*
So!
What's your favorite movie and why?
My favorite movie is Withnail & I, 1987, made in the UK, perhaps not for the kiddies but a great film nonetheless. It chronicles the lives of two down-and-out wannabe actors in the late 60s as they run headfirst into all sorts of problems and insane situations. Withnail is a rather pompous Englishman who cannot conceed any flaw in his personality but for some reason gets on your goodside. Marwood is a kind of foil for him. He tries to be reasonable and think things through, but somehow never really suceeds.
How about you? smile

For me it's a tie between Silence of the Lambs and V for Vendetta. I really love many other movies, but I think those two are safely my favorites of favorites. I love SotL because it's a psychological thriller and it keeps you on your toes and guessing. Plus the acting and directing is phenomenal. I love V because it contains so many issues that have been relevant throughout history and even to today. I always find myself in a debate with my fellow watchers after the movie is finished. Plus the acting is really good, and I love that the "good guy" is very flawed.
