Well I pulled one last night and had to go all day without sleep, so I am exhausted and apologize for a lack of a better topic for the day.
Anyway, what's the longest you've ever gone without sleep?
My record is three all nighters in five days (not all consectutive). I was literally going insane because I was so tired.

Haha, well if it makes you feel better, most people I know don't pull as many all-nighters as I do and then continue on the next day at school. There are lots of party people who pull all nighters, but they usually cut the next day to sleep.
I also have really bad insomnia and that contributes a lot for my excessive amounts of all-nighters, which is something that really only comes in handy when finals are due. Haha.

let's see...it wasn't due to studying, it was more due to not being able to sleep...but I stayed up for almost 23 1/2 hours I think once no twice! sweatdrop not pretty and mostly because my bloodsugar was too high and I went "crazy".

I'm not sure how long, maybe around 2 days straight. My sisters and I once stayed up all night playing risk (because its a long game to play) just to see if we could without falling asleep.
Technically I didn't sleep for about 3 days when I was on a greyhound trip home, but I'm sure I dozed here and there, so it probably doesn't count.

HOLY HERA! eek
To be perfectly honest, the longest I've ever stayed up was straight through the night until 8:30am. I then awoke later and realized I'd lost consciousness along with my friend, right in the middle of our bedsheet fort. We had tried to see how long we could stay up during our sleepover. I was probably not even 10 years old. sweatdrop
I cannot go without sleep. I don't function. Not at all. I've run on 4.5hrs, but barely, and not well enough to trust myself to drive.
Food however, I have gone almost three days without food and still functioned. But that was just part of the problem I have with starving myself when I'm stressed. If I can't make the stress go away then at least I can have control over whether or not I eat. Twisted logic, I know. I've been struggling with said habit for about 5 years now. I'm underweight but overall healthy, and I do take vitamins, so I like to think it's too bad. whee

I can function depending on the sleep I get. Some all-nighters and I'm fine, other times I can barely walk. I've found little tricks here and there to help me keep awake, like listening to fast-paced music when I drive, which makes me instantly more awake.
I do the same thing with food, I don't eat when I'm stresses/upset/etc which is bad because I've had a history of anorexia of which I am still not technically recovered. I'm eating better in general, but I know that I have to be careful about gaining weight (even though I'm underweight) because it would cause a relapse which would be far worse then gaining a little bit of healthy weight.
