You walk into the coliseum... it is a dark and quiet place. You are standing in one of the outer chambers; a weapons room. The area is dimly lit, lighted only by a few torches placed about the walls. There are other warriors there with you, but there is little chat. Everyone knows what you are here for- You are here to claim victory, and kill them all.
There is a narrow hall beyond where you stand, with a set of 6 torches arranged each side of a tall wooden door. A short brute stands each side of the door, and each holds a spear. This must be the entrance to the arena... Arena The sun beamed radiantly into the arena. It had an open roof, and it was now high noon. The arena itself was a massive ring, with thousands of spectators seated above it. There were various obstacles and items strewn about the place, some of which were rusty old weapons, and others which, were unknown. A few things were half buried, and the stench of blood filled the air. Rule Posting 1) You have one life to live in the name of the competition. You have more than 1 life to live, but only the first during the battle counts. After your first death, after the battle starts, you are disqaulified from winning. You will though, Respawn in the armory after each death. 2) No godmodding. Everyone needs a chance to counter and whatnot. And if it is obvious you are about to take injury, or even death, then let it come. 3) There are no prizes yet, just the title of GCS Arena Champ. 4) That is all, I think. ~MK

*MK walks into the chamber, and looks carefully at the various swords and other weapons hanging upon the walls, and sitting in the weapon racks. He stops a moment over a strange set of black and gold blades, and lifts them slowly to his chest...*
These will do. These will do indeed.
MK has obtained the Swords of Anubis!

"hmmm." Menace stepped out of the shadows behind MK. Glancing about Menace Noticed a Pair of scimitars that looked fragile, He couldn't help but Note that they were pulsing with Drknrgy. He lifted the Black and Blue-purple blades with a Smirk then slipped off.

*MK felt an odd presence from the shadows, besides that of the blades that he felt Menace slink off with. There was another there, somewhere. One of both light and dark. One whom could be a danger to all...*
There is still some time before the fight begins. I hope that you have all come prepared...
*He trails off as he looks about the room, seeking out the faces of any who may be lying in wait already*

What to choose.. what to choose.
Now, what should I take, what to leave behind..
Should I take these saber Eagles..
[ Her fingers ran across the sabers, but she knew it was a little too quick to choose that fast ]

Menace casually walked down the the Narrow corridor Towards the entrance to the arena. His Atire was black, His usually. The twin scimitars were now sheathed within easy reach at his belt. Anyone that Knew Menace wouldn't Openly attack him in the hallway, so He walked casually with a Smile, Right between the gaurds and Into the arena.

*MK watched as Menace walked off to the arena. He would wait a moment before following after. MK turned over to Elf, and watched as she sorted through the weaponry*

These short sabers, formerly named Eagles.
[ She picked both of them up in a way as if she didn't even know what it was, but then got attached to it quickly ]
Yes, this is the weapon I choose, perhaps.
[ Elf then slowly walked out of the chamber, examining her new weapon ]

Menace scanned the arena as He walked toward the center. His scimtars stayed in their sheathes as He Stood turning back toward the entrance, His arms crossed over his chest. "Hmmm..."

Menace sneered at the crowd and Arena alike, Unimpressed. He stood watching the entrance and casually glancing around at the ground.

*MK slipped and extra weapon beneath his armor, and then proceeded to enter the Arena as well. Unlike Menace, he was most pleased with the coliseum. It may be old, and it may be falling apart, but it is the site of many a great battle.*
This is a place... Where mere men became warriors; Became heroes of the land. You may not think much of it, but this place holds one of the greater honors that all of Gaia has known. It is a shame that the Champ died before the battle this day...

If you are thinking what I think you are, then you are in for a surprise or two.
As for the spectators, you are right there. There are a great many wrongs to it, but at the same time, these people are the ones who will witness greatness! It is the closest they will ever come, for they all fear to come down here and fight themselves.
