So it's time to discuss why you like the Pairing?

I personally like this pairing so much because renji and rukia have been through so much together. Through childhood they both suffered and helped. And also because Renji protects rukia, even when rukia was sent to death, he tried to save her. He may act like he doesn't care at times, but he cares deeply for rukia. And I personally think he has a little crush on her xD
Since childhood he has blushed around her. Together they became strong and became death gods.

Hishou He may act like he doesn't care at times
Rukia was adopted into the Kuchiki family, and Renji's trying to convince himself NOT to get in her way (til he beats Byakuya, of course =]). So, over the time that they don't have contact (40 years people!), it's not out-of-the-question to say Renji didn't love her anymore when he went to retrieve her.
Of course, that means he fell back in love with her pretty fast (assuming he's back in love with her by the time he resolves to save her from execution), but, personally, I can see it 3nodding Hishou And I personally think he has a little crush on her xD
Like you said, Hishou-san, I like this pairing because of how much he protects Rukia. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm quite the feminist (and in fact often annoyed when Ichi or Byakuya has to come to Rukia's rescue, like in the Memories of Nobody movie), but I think it's cute how devoted Renji is. ♥

Personally, I love this pairing because its so obvious about how they feel towards one another. Rukia and Renji has been through so much together, and what they're going through now, I believe, is only bringing them closer. Besides, they like so cute together!! <3

Until right before (spoiler) Orihime gets taken to Hueco Mundo I wasn't entirely sure of wrether Rukia should be with Ichico or Renji, but after (spoiler) Orihime tells Ichigo she loves him while he sleeps, in fact five times (She says if she could have five lives it would be great because -lists reasons-, and...I could fall in love with the same person five times). At which point it became obvious to have OrihimecIchigo and RenjixRukia.
Unrelated spoiler: I'm at 162 right now, AND I WANT TO KNOW IF SHE LIVES!!! GAH!!! IT'S KILLING ME!!!!!

I love this pairing for all the reasons stated above, and would like to add that their personalities are a good match. They act tough but have a soft spot for their friends (especially each other). I watched the Rock Musical yesterday and during one of Renji's songs about Rukia, I said, "And the shippers rejoice!" heart
