Thanks to a donation from a wonderful benefactor we now have a competition to kick off the new subforum. There will be a 2k prize.
This is a competition for the best new plot for an RPG.
Here are the requirements:
- The plot must contain at least one character who defies gender norms.
- The plot must be completely original.
- The plot must not be based on a series.
- The competition begins immediately and ends on December 1st.
- The entries will be posted in this thread.
- It must be at least two paragraphs in length and there is no limit in length.
- I will judge. I will do my best to be fair and unbiased.
- This is intended to get new games started in the guild so feel free to go and start these games in the appropriate forums as soon as the competition is over.
- Comments are welcome in this thread as long as they are not cruel.
- Have fun and go to it.

Usually they are written in story form like the beginning of the book. There are some nice examples in the forums. I leave it up to your creativity though. If you find another method of introduction that you like better that suits your game better then go for it. The more creative the better, that goes for the writing of the plot as well.

Goodness, isn't this just where I want to be? I was looking for a place to post this idea that has been inside me since around October. I'll try my best to put it into pretty terms and I hope it's acceptable. It feels more like a story and I'm not sure where I can edit.
Three weeks into the first term of Winterbourne Academy for Young Men and Women of Impeccable Breeding, the North Wing dorm was shut down for six and a half hours. There had been cases before when students refused to leave their rooms, but this case was different. For one thing, it was a fifth year boy, a senior, who had holed himself up rather than a petulant first year. For another thing, the Head Boy saw it fit to call in half the faculty and the headmaster.
About three days later there was buzz about the arrival of a new female student. Little was known about her other than that she rarely spoke up in class, barely spoke to any (save for a select few) and walked very awkwardly. The teachers never called her by name either, but always seemed as though a name was just at the tip of their tongues as they referred to her. Students were so interested in her arrival that the disappearance of student tutor Edward F. went largely unnoticed.
Guess I'll get into plot now.
Edward's disappearance weighs guiltily on the mind of fourth year student Augustine Vance because he is entirely (or at least mostly) responsible. Born "Augusta Vance", Augustine became a Testosterone Feeder (More appropriate term being Trans-Vampire) after being carelessly bitten days before registration.
Trans-Vampires are conceptually like traditional vampires. Males bite and drink the testosterone from male victims, going for either the neck or the wrist. The biology isn't precise, but what happens is that the victim's body goes into shock, attempting to balance out the hormonal shift. Unfortunately, the system is flooded by estrogen by then and changes start to take place. The reason for the changes in primary and secondary sex changes is unclear as of now.
Becoming a trans-vampire is a bit more difficult and happens mostly with careless feeding. If a trans-vampire has been indiscriminately biting all night, his body might begin rejecting some of the testosterone he has received. Rejected testosterone that comes into contact with a victim in any way other than on skin (biting, falling on open sores, even delivered via a sloppy kiss) will turn the victim into a trans-vampire.
Female trans-vampires exist, drinking the estrogen from women and turning them into males (or trans-vampires if the bite is messy). Trans-vampires sense and select victims on a system of both scent and sixth sense. They are attracted to moderate or high levels of the hormones, which is why a female trans-vampire won't usually drink from a male.
After being bitten a first time, victims should take precaution not to be bitten a second time as the drinking of their new dominant hormone will not turn them sexless or back to their old sex. The second shock to the system only seems to kill victims of a second bite. Trans-vampires' weakensses are unresearched as of yet, but some theories have been pewter knives, basalt stars, pumpkins, and any part of the Musaceae Musa plant. So far, the Musaceae Musa seems to be most effective as it causes severe swelling of the throat in trans-vampires.

Students seeking revenge on the trans-vampires (Also somewhat rare as the whole buisness is very hush-hush)
students (Both Cis and un-bitten trans) helping victims cope with their new sex. At first, the students were assigned these "transitioning partners and allies" but now they are only available on request as the school would like to keep the rash breakout of sex changes as secret as possible.

Ok here goes. This Sucker took a while to type so I hope you guys like the idea. The story can always be change later. But thanks for your time and reading my idea.
Faith in the lord and following his teaching would save even the darkest soul from the hellish fires of Satan’s domain. To repent is to be saved. What if this was all a lie. What if one couldn’t be saved for damnation? What if humanity was doomed from the start and everyone on earth was dead in hell. These questions seem meaningless because how could humanity be dead and the earth and every human being on it was in hell.
A selected few can see the truth; they are what people call insane or crazy. They are locked away in rooms and study. They are the ones who can see everything; they are the ones who can see me. I am neither male nor female, I am the very darkness and I am what human’s fear the most I am death. Most humans are blinded and cannot see the truth that is right in front of there faces. There foods they eat are maggots and other insects. When one of them goes missing they will never be found for the missing usually end up as one of the many demonic resident’s dinners.
My fellow demons especially the sins have mocked me for watching those who have the gift to see the truth. But I know that the ones that see the truth have the gift to escape hell and create a new earth. They just have not grasp the full potential of there abilities yet. I wish to see and help them escape. I know I shouldn’t be caring about these mortals, but for centuries I watched them suffer. It gets a little boring after awhile, when you have no one left to reap. Helping these gifted mortals might give me a chance to get my job back. How can one be death when you can’t really kill anyone anymore?
Basic Plot
All mankind has been whipped out due to war, plague, nuclear bombs. No one has ended up in heaven because heaven never was. Only hell exists. Yet even though everyone is in hell most cannot see the truth. They live blinded by lies; they see the sky as normal and not red with fire or always dark. Rain is water to them, in reality it is blood as all water is. They don’t see the demons or feel the pain of being tortured by the nightmarish creatures.
There are a few gifted people that are starting to see the truth. However the truth causes most to go insane. Death one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse is searching for those who wish to fight and not give into insanity. Searching for those who have the special abilities to break out of hell and create new life on a resurrected earth. The only problem is the highest ranking and most powerful demon lords do not wish anyone to escape hell. So they will do anything necessary to keep the chosen few from escaping hell. A war is also going to be starting soon what side will you be on?
Characters- Each characters gender can be male or female or both. The demons a mostly both genders or genderless. But they can be change to fit what the person who is playing them wants them to be. Death however is both male and female. Abilities and powers can be discussed. No one is too powerful, everyone has a weakness. Humans have the ability to kill a Sin and become that Sin. But the person who is that Sin must agree to die or be turned Human. No character is good or evil; each one can chose to go to either side.
Death-One of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse friends with War. Even though they seem more like Allies then friends.
War-one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse and one of the most powerful demon lords. Close friend of death. Hates the sin of gluttony and also Famine his fellow horsemen. For Famine claimed more lives then War in the destruction of earth.
Famine- Close friends with Pride and Sloth Pestilence doesn’t trust Death and finds War amusing. Enjoys bragging about the victory of defeating War in earth’s end. One of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
Pestilence-Good friends with the demon sins Envy, Greed and Lust doesn’t care about death. To Pestilence Death is like the clean up crew for the other three messes. Jealous of War and Famine’s power and reputation in hell. He/she is starting to gather demon followers to take down War and Famine and Claim their abilities as his/her own.
Envy- One of the 7 deadly Sins. Jealous of everyone, wants more power, sees the only way he/she can get it is by following Pestilence and in the end betraying him/her to take his power and the powers of the other horsemen.
Lust-One of the 7 deadly Sins. Follows Pestilence because she/he has a thing for both War and Death and feels following Pestilence plan, she/he could turn against Pestilence and save one of them from destruction.
Pride-One of 7 Deadly Sins. Is an ally with Famine, feels that he/she should be the most powerful demon. Pride has a feeling that a war is going to happen soon and his/her chance to become the most powerful Demon lord will become a reality. She/he only has to wait and by her/his time until the war in hell happens.
Sloth-One of the 7 deadly Sins. Is the only character that can’t move or be played. Same with Death. Sloth is basically most of the land of hell. A creature that likes to sleep most of the day instead of move. Wishes the mortals would leave it alone and stop walking on it.
Gluttony-One of 7 deadly sins, wants to have a war start in hell so he/she can kill and eat what she/he wants. Doesn’t get along with War because She/he couldn’t eat War. It may seem like stupid reason, but Gluttony never forgave war fro that.
Greed-One of the 7 Deadly Sins. Basically wants everything and hates everyone, but he/she sees Pestilence and his/hers brothers and sisters as good and useful tools to get what him/her wants. Basically to be ruler of hell.
Wrath- One of Seven Deadly Sins. Angry at everything, Hates his/herself. Wishes that she/he could stop this torture of being the Sin of anger. Wants Death to take his/her life. But Death had refused which had anger Wrath.
Chosen Ones-What to escape their hellish prison and return to earth to start a new life. Others want to gain more power because they were corrupted by a few of the7 deadly sins.
I hope you like my idea I work hard on it. Hopefully one of these days it can be turned into a full blown rp.

Dark won? Wow, I didn't even realize when the voting began, darn. I missed it crying I was totally going to vote for Harpy too, his idea rocked! It was so original! ((Sorry Travely but I've seen one too many of those post apocalyptic stories. Your plot seems really well written too, I just like Harpy's more, especially since it fit with the theme of the guild biggrin ))
