Mimi emerged into the dark forest with Bulby still at her side. It was getting later outside, but the sun had not completely set. However, the forest didn't seem to care that the sun was shining beyond its borders, for the thick trees blocked out its light almost entirely. Mimi would be having second thoughts about walking around this forest at night, if her mind wasn't already preoccupied with other things. As she made her way deeper into the forest, she wasn't really paying attention to where she was going or caring for that matter. She was too busy talking out loud to herself, and to Bulby, who was the only other thing around willing to listen.

"I can't believe how rude some people can be, Bulby! I was just trying to be friendly, after all. What's wrong with that? Argh! He was just so..." she sighed, exasperated with it all. "I mean, he could have just said 'hello,' or 'sorry, I'm busy right now.' And if he really didn't want to talk to me, he could have just said so, AND in a much NICER way. Just who does he think he is anyway? And where does he get off saying that I'm no lady? Sure, I may look young and act it too sometimes, but I'm fourteen! I most certainly can be considered a lady! In any case, I'm a girl! He should have been a little more polite than that..." Mimi went on voicing her thoughts out loud. Bulbasaur made a sound that let her know he was listening every now and then. And the two continued on this way, deeper and deeper into the forest.

Mimi was so lost in her thoughts, that she forgot she was even supposed to be training her Pokemon and catching new ones for her team. She walked around talking to herself for a half-hour before she stopped and took a good look around. It had gotten much darker outside. She was sure the sun hadn't set yet outside the forest, but it looked well past sundown inside. Mimi suddenly realized that she had gotten herself lost, and because of the lack of light, couldn't find her way back. She started to get cold, and even admitted that she was a little scared. She never really liked the dark, and being all alone in a big, scary forest and night was the last thing she wanted. At least she wasn't completely alone. After all, she had her Pokemon with her...

Mimi picked up Bulby and carried him in her arms. She felt the need to hold something close to her, and Bulbasaur was the best choice at the time. She berated herself for getting into this situation. She seemed to be having a pretty bad day - and it was only getting worse. Mimi knew she couldn't just stay where she was, so she started walking in the direction she thought she may have come from. But after ten minutes or so, it was clear that she was only getting herself more and more lost. Nothing looked familiar - the trees seemed to be getting a lot larger.

Eventually, Mimi stumbled upon one tree that was absolutely huge. It had things hanging from it and sticking to it, but she couldn't make them out in the dark. Curious, she went to get a closer look. But the tree's roots were sticking up all over the place, and she tripped over them in the dim light. Unfortuantely, the tree was partly on a hill, and when she tripped, she fell down it and landed in some bushes with a loud crash.

"Ow," she whined, as she tried to pry herself out of the prickly bush. Bulbasaur had fallen out of his trainer's arms and missed the bush. He was now helping Mimi out of this new predicament. Mimi was getting scraped and bruised trying to get out. She had made a lot of noise after tripping and trying to get back on her feet. She didn't realize just how loud she was being until she started hearing a different and strange sound. She grew quiet suddenly and listened, trying to make it out. But she didn't need to, since almost immediately dozens and dozens of bright lights suddenly appeared on the large tree.

Even with all the light, Mimi was still lost as to what she had gotten herself into now. Not knowing what else to do, she pulled out her pokedex from her bag quickly and pointed it at the glowing tree. Her pokedex revealed that those things on the tree had been Kakuna, and she realized that her noise had woken them. Now, they were evolving into Beedrill. And, from the look of her pokedex, Beedrill did not look like the kind of Pokemon she wanted to meet (especially a hoard them that were angry with her for disturbing their sleep).

Mimi quickly put her pokedex back in her bag, grabbed Bulbasaur, and ran as fast as she could in any random direction that led away from that tree. After all, she didn't want to be around when those Kakuna finished evolving. But when she heard a VERY loud buzzing sound behind her, she knew she hadn't been quick enough on her feet to get away. A quick glance behind her revealed a swarm of Beedrill, all chasing after her. She didn't bother having Bulbasaur battle them; there were too many and Bulbasaur wasn't that strong. So she just kept running as fast as she possibly could, trying to lose them by swerving around thick patches of trees and other obstacles. But Mimi was learning the hard way that Beedrill were fast and agile Pokemon. It was only a matter of moments before they caught up with her. And when that happened...well, she forced herself not to think about that. Instead, she did just about the only thing she could do in that situation - scream.

And then, at the worst possible moment, Mimi tripped over a stray branch as she was trying to swerve around another tree. She fell and hit her side hard on the ground. At this point, the Beedrill had her completely surrounded. She had no place else to go, but to scoot backwards against a tree. Bulbasaur tried to wriggle free from Mimi's grip, but she was holding him too tightly for him to get away and try to protect her. All Mimi could do at that point was hold Bulby close to her chest, and bury her face in his neck with her eyes closed tightly as she waited for the dreaded Beedrill's attack...

Why is Aki acting so strangely? He didn't understand the strange behavior of his pokemon, she was usual quite obedient and stayed by his side always. He had never seen this side of her, but it didn't make him angry instead it made him worried. Hideki kept thinking to himself; and barely realized that the Forest was almost black, and barely any light could come through the canopy. He could only see Aki in here, and to make matters worse she went through obstacles that were easy for her but hard for someone as big as him. He had received several cuts from branches and twigs; few only started to bleed. Aki finally stopped but because she was looking around; unlike Hideki she could see perfectly clear. The only thing he could see was a giant tree with huge and powerful roots; it reminded him of his father. Only a few minutes and Aki jumped down onto a hill and slid down it and landed safely on the bottom. He tried to follow his pokemon, but didn't have such a smooth ride. He tried walking down slowly but the dirt shifted under him making him slide down to the ground. On the way down a branch caught on to his tie and it almost killed him, but he quickly took it off before so. When he finally reached the ground he groaned in pain as his back throbbed from hitting rocks and other things he could not recognize in the dim light. He got up and noticed that there was some blood on his face, legs, and back. It was most likely because of the fall he had taken on the hill. Hideki tried to brush of most of the dirt, forgetting why he was there. He soon remembered and chased after Aki who had stopped running by now. He heard loud humming, but it was more like the beating of large wings. He was right, there were swarms of Beedrill, everywhere. At first he was going to get Aki out of there and run. Quickly he soon realized that there was someone else, the girl from before. Without really thinking he decided to defend her from the swarm. He quickly began to think of what he should do, he knew ember wouldn't do much and tail whip would just make matters worse. He then remembered that Aki had a new move up her sleeve.

"Roar!" He said loudly to his pokemon so she would hear him. She did and took a deep breath, and as she did, the Beedrill were coming to attack her out of the way. She then released a large roar and it echoed through the forest trees. All the Beedrill were frightened and flew quickly away. Hideki was baffled at how that actually worked he stood there in shock at how great Aki really was. She ran up to him and sat in front of him with a smile.

"Oh right…" He said and ran to the girl who had yelled at him before; he didn't know why he saved her. It was mostly on impulse that he did so. At the time he had totally forgotten what she did to him and what he had said to her; at that moment it didn't matter. He was too shocked at how he acted but he figured he should be a little nicer since she had gone through so much at the current time. He knelt down beside her and spoke softly like he did to his pokemon.

"Hey are you hurt, can you walk?" Hideki was being kind without actually trying to. He soon realized even if she was able to walk it would be easier and faster for him to carry her.

"Here, it'll be quicker if I just carry you." He said as he lifted her off the ground; he carried her like she was a child against his chest and in both arms. He didn't look as strong as he really was. He was able to carry her without breaking a sweat, but then again she was also very light, but he thought she was heavier. He looked around and couldn't see anything he wondered how they would get out of there. He tried to remember but everything looked so dark he couldn't tell whether he was stepping on rocks or clumps of dirt. He sighed and couldn't hear anything, everything was silent. He wondered whether Aki would know the way out. He stood there still holding her, and looking for a way out of the black.

This wound up being shorter than I intended, but I suppose because of the "late hour" in the RP, there isn't much more to do at this point. (Haha, now Hideki has to deal with a sleeping Mimi). I suppose we should just have the night go by really fast (in only one post) so we can get to the good stuff. It will be more fun when they're both awake and fully aware of the situation. And hopefully soon, we'll meet up with Aisumaru.

___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___

Mimi hadn't realized that someone had come to her rescue until it was all over and her rescuer approached her. She didn't look up at all to see who it was, but instead continued to hold fast to Bulby with her knees pulled close to her chest and her head still buried. She was still too scared to move. She didn't answer the boy's question, but did recognize who it was by the sound of his voice when he spoke to her.

Mimi stiffened when his body came in contact with hers as he lifted her off of the ground. But once she was cradled in his arms with her head rested against his chest, she started to calm down and allowed her body to relax. She didn't know why she was suddenly feeling okay with resting in the arms of the person who had insulted her before and who unintentionally and indirectly was the reason for her blindly entering the forest in the first place. But Mimi guessed, in the end, this really was mostly her fault. There was nothing she could do about it now, anyway. And he had saved her; he seemed much less threatening than he had been before. Once her body was relaxed, she loosened her grip on Bulby, who could jump down onto the ground.

Now that Mimi was out of harm's way and had human contact, she no longer let herself worry about being lost in the dark forest. After all, she had been through too much to care about something as trivial as that at the moment. Instead, she let the slow, steady rhythm of the boy's heart beat lull her into a deep, peaceful sleep.

It was hopeless it was too dark to get out so he tried to find a secluded place for them to stay. He found a spot and was going to drop her on the ground, but noticed that she was sleeping. So he placed her against the trunk of a tree and then sat down on the ground. His arms were sore from carrying her and his back still stung with pain. He wondered if something cut him deeply because the blood wasn't drying off, and he couldn't mend it easily; it being behind him and all. But it didn't stop him from trying; he pulled out a bandage from his bag. He took his jacket and then his shirt off and looked at the blood and dirt that covered both articles. He sighed and pulled out a white short sleeve polo shirt. He didn't put it on yet though, he instead started to wrap himself in the white bandage. Once it ran out he clipped so it would come undone while he slept or did anything else. He placed his shirt back on and felt better now that he had a clean shirt on again. He didn't know what else to do about the other scratches, even though they were minor cuts. He simple placed a small sticky bandage on his cheek and arms were the tree branches had gotten him. He thought and soon became conscious of the fact that she needed her sleeping bag. So he decided to search through her bag for said item, not really comprehended that girl's had certain things in there bag. He didn't really look but instead searched with his hand. He grabbed a random fabric and pulled it, in his horror it was her bra.

"WHAT THE!" He yelled but then quickly covered his mouth, remembering she was asleep. It didn't seem like she had woken up so he shoved the garment quickly back into the bag; his face was extremely red from blushing. He was embarrassed and scared to look in the bag again but he really didn't have a choice. He felt around more and tried to feel for a sleeping bag material. He finally pulled it out after several more embarrassing incidents with her clothing and things.

"Whoa…" He said as he lifted the sleeping bag up, he kept from laughing or he would've woken her up. It was a little pink color, maybe peach, and it had Clefairy all over it. It was somewhat fitting for her but that didn't stop Hideki from finding it childish and humorous. He placed it on the ground beside the current sleeping girl and unzipped it completely open. He then lifted the girl and placed her on the bag gently and then zipped her back in. She must've been a heavy sleeper because she was a log at the current moment. He placed her bag beside her and then grabbed his own bag. He didn't even notice that this was an opportunity to leave her there. He was extremely tired and Aki had already fallen asleep on the grass. He pulled out his sleeping bag and placed it beside her and then got in, falling asleep once he rested his head. He was dreaming about random things, like getting his first ribbon and having his family acknowledge him as great and no longer the runt; his dreams all about his success and nothing more then that. He was heavily asleep and when extremely tired Hideki tended to roll around a lot and even talk in his sleep.

___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___

Mimi slept soundly throughout the entire night. Bulby, not wanting to leave his master all alone with strangers, stayed out of his pokeball and had made himself comfortable at the end of her sleeping bag. When it was finally daybreak, the forest suddenly became alive again. The Pidgey were all chirping in the trees and little Caterpie and Weedle were scurrying along branches. It was much lighter in the forest with the sun shining brightly, though the shade from all of the trees still left it from being completely illuminated by the sun.

Mimi stirred in her sleep, like most people do before they fully wake up. Though she didn't open her eyes (wanting to continue dreaming instead of getting up), she did become aware of the source of warmth next to her as well as a light weight across her torso. She thought nothing of it, having no idea where she was at the moment or what had happen. Laying there, still asleep, she assumed to be at home; the source of warmth and weight on her torso were, to her, nothing more than her mother's presence in her bed. Such thoughts led her to roll over and press up against the body next to hers.

By this point, the two figures were now laying face to face, with Mimi's small form pressed up against the boy's torso and his arm draped over her. It was an adorable scene to anyone watching from afar. At least, it was until Mimi woke up. She did the first thing any young girl would do if they found themselves in that kind of situation - before recalling what had actually occurred the previous night and jumping to conclusions, as Mimi often did - and that was scream.

"Ah! What are you doing, you PERVERT!?" Anyone who had previously been asleep couldn't possibly still be sleeping after that. "How dare you take advantage of an innocent little girl while she's sleeping! You're sick! Sick, sick, sick, sick, sick, sick!" By this point, Mimi had grabbed her stuffed Meowth doll, which for some reason had found its way out of her bag, and was thrashing him with it.

He tore his eyes open as the girl screamed, he sat up and began to rub his eye and questioned what was going on. All he could make out was “pervert” and he looked at the girl.

"Pervert? I am not – HEY!" He said as he was being whacked with a doll, at this point he cringed and covered his head with his arms. Unlike her he knew what had happened last night but didn't understand why she was beating him with her toy. After several attacks he finally found his voice and it was on high volume.

"What are you talking about? I didn't do anything to you!" He yelled back at her.

"Are you crazy? Stop hitting me!" He said and then grabbed the toy so she wouldn't be able to hit him with it anymore. He glared at her, and thought to himself.

Is she crazy why is she beating me up so early? I haven't even done anything to her.

"Look I don't know why you're assassinating me with a doll, but I didn't do anything to you!" He said firmly and released the doll and began to ruffle his hair trying to remember everything that had occurred last night. It all came quickly back to him as he got up.

Mimi had been wrestling for the doll back once he'd grabbed it and lost her balance when he released it. Clinging it close to her chest, she stood up as well and continued to accuse him.

"Yes you did! You had to! So stop lying!" Mimi actually looked quite ridiculous standing there in wrinkled clothes with her hair all a mess. Her ribbon had fallen out in her sleeping bag at some point, and her blonde hair was all loose and hanging about her face.

"If you're not lying, then why were you sleeping next to me, huh? And why did you have your arm around me!?" It was a good point, but Mimi hadn't mentioned how she had been snuggling up to him. That wouldn't help her case much, and she thought her actions to be justified since she didn't know it was him...

"Well?" Mimi was still waiting for an answer. "Explain yourself!"

By this point Hideki's patience was totally gone and he closed his eyes. His face twitching from anger and he was about to blow a vein. He sighed and it looked like he was going to calm down but that wasn't the case.

"When I'm extremely tired I tend to toss and turn. So by accident I had my arm on you." Slowly his voice was rising with his temper.

"I WOULD NEVER BE INTERESTED IN A GIRL WHO IS AS STUPID AS YOU!" He yelled very loudly and then huffed for he used a lot of air. He rubbed his temple and he began to calm down a lot more.

"Obviously you don't remember what I have done for you." He said and poked on the forehead. He poked repeatedly as if to help her to remember and as he began to poke more the more force he used. He was still a bit angry at how she couldn't even remember what she had done and that he saved her from.

Mimi suddenly stopped her onslaught after he said that. She just looked very lost at that point. As he constantly poked her forehead, she really did look like she didn't have a clue. The pokes got harder and she couldn't think at all. It was just giving her a major headache. So, she swatted his arm away, looking perturbed.

"Stop that! I can't think when you do that!"

Now that the poking had stopped, Mimi quickly rubbed her forehead to make the pain go away. Then she forced herself to think back to the night before. One word came to mind and it all started to fall into place.

"The Beedrill," she said, looking at him with a now apologetic expression. "Now I remember..." Mimi went silent after that. She was trying to collect her thoughts. This really was the same boy that had insulted her yesterday. But then he came and saved her. It was all too confusing for her simple mind to comprehend.

"But, why did you...?"

"Huh…" He replied and scratched the back of his face. He looked at the ground and started to blush slightly. Hideki didn't know why he had saved her either. He did it so quickly there wasn't any time for second thoughts or reasoning. He was human after all and even though he didn't show it he was nice at times. Of course he didn't want this to show so he thought of an answer quickly.

"I uh…" He muttered he couldn't exactly find all the words to his answer. He left a short pause as he thought to himself.

"I felt sorry for the Beedrill! Having to be near you is just horrible!" He said trying to keep his tough act up. He didn't know whether it was working or not, he looked away at Vulpix who was stretched out in the sun relaxed. He was looking at her for help but she was asleep and provided no such thing. His face was slightly pink and tried to cover it by looking down and kept from making eye contact with her.

Mimi didn't buy it, but she also didn't say anything. She couldn't help the smile that pulled at the edge of her lips. She may be an airhead most of the time, but if there was one thing she knew well, it was how to read people. She knew he was lying, but she also figured out that he probably didn't know why he did what he did. Even if he was lying now, she was sure as hell that he didn't save her because he liked her all that much. The two of them were far from that. Mimi concluded that he did what he did because deep down, he probably was a nice guy.

"My name is Mimi. Mimi Kouyama," she said, recalling their conversation from yesterday. The two still hadn't introduced themselves, and Mimi wanted to do things right this time around.

"There, now I've told you my name. So, you can't ignore me anymore."

"My name is Hideki Kudo. Uh... It's nice to meet you, Mimi." He said somewhat quietly yet politely. He gave a small smile even though it was barely noticeable. He didn't know what else to say this was the point where he would run out of words to speak. He stood there thinking of something else to say but nothing came to mind. He didn't want to share personal information and wasn't really the one to talk a lot. Aki finally woke up and came to him by his side. He picked her up and held her against his chest. She looked at Mimi with no real interest, it seemed like she was looking straight through her. She obviously was like her trainer, in many ways. Hideki began to rub her head gently but she still stared through Mimi.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 06, 2008 9:23 pm

___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___◊___

Mimi just watched Hideki for a few moments, really taking him in. He didn't talk much, apparently. He definitely wasn't a people person - that much was sure. In the meantime, Bulbasaur, who had wisely chosen to stay out of the quarrel earlier, now came up beside Mimi and sat by her feet. He was merely watching the scene between the two. He might have stepped in earlier, but he no longer had any reason to be suspicious of Hideki since he'd saved his master and she seemed to be more comfortable around him.

Mimi realized that Hideki wasn't going to say anymore, and she would have to be the one to speak up. That was perfectly fine with her; she was usually quite the talker anyway. And her hatred for Hideki had long since dissipated after learning that he'd saved her.

"Thanks for saving me yesterday," she started. "I would have been done for if you hadn't come along. I tend to get myself into a lot of scrapes like that." Speaking of scrapes, Mimi unconsciously rubbed her arms, only to feel the scabs from all the scratches she received yesterday. She looked at Hideki and wondered why she hadn't noticed the bandages on him sooner. He must have gotten hurt too. She started to feel really bad after that. He'd hurt himself when he came to help her - however unintentional his help was.

"I'm sorry I've been so much trouble for you. Even my parents say I'm a handful. I was really just trying to be friendly the other day," Mimi was already apologizing for the day before, despite the awful things Hideki had said to her. But even after all the trouble she caused him, she didn't really want him to leave her. She didn't want to be alone again, depending on her own skills and those of her Pokemon, who were still undertrained. Because of this, she decided to try taking the conversation in a new direction.

"I just started my Pokemon journey, and I'm new at all of this. I've already gotten myself into bad situations. I'm really no good at taking care of myself. But I'm sorry if I bothered you. You don't have to stick around," she sighed and continued in an almost sing-songy voice, "I guess I'll just go off on my own. All by myself...after coming up with the best apology I could think of. So you just go on, I'll be fine. Don't worry about me..." It was obvious by the way her voice sounded that Mimi was making a poor attempt at a guilt trip so Hideki really wouldn't leave.

"I don't deserve a second chance after all the trouble I've caused you," she went on. A fake-desperate and depressed sigh escaped her lips. Mimi did this often at home to get her way without throwing a tantrum or acting like a brat. She found she could guilt her parents into a lot of things better this way. And she was certainly milking it now.

It was midday, noon, almost, when Aisumaru entered the forest, but there was still almost no light to see by. The forest was cool and shady, causing Aisumaru to be rather thankful that he wore rather thick, dark clothes even through the summer months. A cold breeze blew through the forest, causing cold-blooded Flora to shiver. Aisumaru noticed, reaching into his bag to pull out a thick white cape with floral designs on it out of his bag, which he had made for Flora not long after he received her. He draped the cape over her, pinning the two front corners under her neck with a dark green safety pin. Digging through his bag, he found some woolen crystal blue fabric, which he cut into a square that would not impede Mistral's flying, but was small enough so that it would not billow to much behind the Pidgey, fastening it with a gold safety pin under Mistral's neck.

They wandered around rather aimlessly through the forest, avoiding pokemon, Flora looking at the abundance of flowers around the forest, as Mistral ate some of the insects, causing a dispute to break out between the two pokemon, ending with them refusing to speak to each other.
