We use energy throughout our day. Whether we're working, playing, or doing whatever else we do, we always exert effort. However, what really gets you exhausted is work; therefore, you must know what things will make you more exhausted and prevent your character from overexerting themselves (after all, they can't become a billionaire farmer in one day by hoeing all the time).
Each person starts with 12 energy every morning. These are not transferable to the next day; they perish when you go to sleep (with some exceptions).
What will make me lose energy?
Work usually does that to you. After a long, hard day you feel exhausted; later, you'll learn what happens when you go beyond exhausted.
Farming [Plot = group of 9x9 tiles]
Hoeing - 3 energy per plot Plant seeds - 1 energy per plot Water - 2 energy per plot Animals - 1 energy per animal (to feed and groom)
Shopkeeping
5 energy to work a half day
Other
Harvesting natural resources - 1 energy per 4 items (round down) Fishing - 4 energy per OOC day used fishing Cooking - 1 energy per item cooked (even if it is a failure)
What will make me gain energy?
By cooking! Well, more particularly, by eating. For every meal you eat you will gain energy, though it's based on price (the more rich you are, the better you eat!). Simply add the total price of the ingredients, divide by the number of ingredients you have, and you can tell how much the food will replenish you. If that amount is worth:
More than 0g to less than 2g, your character receives 2 energy. More than 2g to less than 5g, your character receives 4 energy. More than 5g to less than 9g, your character receives 6 energy. More than 9g to less than 14g, your character receives 8 energy. More than 14g, your character receives 10 energy
However, you cannot have more than two of the same ingredients in your food; that would be unfair. Anyone with tomatoes in their garden could make a dish called 'tomato surprise!' without using any other ingredients; not only would that be unfair, it would also be pretty nasty. Also, if you have three or more of the same ingredients, the product is a failure. You will get the same reaction if you use more than six ingredients.Banner by Kairily

Livestock System
When you first gain an animal, they have 0 affection for you. After all, you guys have had no time to bond; how would you know what their favorite grain is or which way they like to be petted?
After gaining the animal, however, you may groom/brush it, talk to it, feed it, and gather its produce. For one day of full care the animal raises 1 affection (½ affection per day for grooming/talking and another ½ affection for feeding/collecting produce). You may collect produce every full in-game day.
Just remember to care of your animals; affection drops ½ every day you do not feed them and another ½ every day you do not groom/talk to them.
Once you sell your animal, it has half the affection from its previous owner for the next owner. The sell value depends on affection points; for every two affection, the sell value of your animal raises 10g.
We do not have a 'small/medium/large' produce system.

Ordering Line
The third subforum we have is called 'Ordering Line'. You know why? It's for ordering products, silly! Whether you want something from your neighbor or something from halfway across the world, the ordering line is there to take your request. You may also list products which you wish to sell; in a word, it is a marketplace. Simply state what you are willing to buy/sell in the thread title and in your first post you should list a price; or, if you are planning to continually sell things then you could open a 'shop' which is a thread where you list all your products and how much you have.
The subforum itself should have more info; just know that scamming any other player is a major offense. If it is intentional and it causes you to gain Gaian gold somehow, you will definitely be banned. Nothing in the marketplace should involve Gaia gold. Period.
