So I was listening some rachmaninov because I'm awesome and anything-that-has-anything-to-do-with-Muse obsessed like that, and there's this bit in it that sounds exactly like Space Dementia's "...and tear us apart, and make us meaningless - again".

It's EXACTLY it.
However much I like Space Dementia & the piano bits, I still think this is a bit... shameless? I wouldn't call it a coincidence, the likeness is too big. :/

Yeah.. wow. That's really close. Then again, great composers stole from eachother back in the day all the time, and Matt's a great composer isn't he.
Besides, i LOVE when classical music makes it's way into rock, and Rachmaninov is pretty darn cool.
(my friend was looking trough her music for somehting for us to listen to while we had tea on the ferry (yes, classy i know), and she all of a sudden looked all smug and was like "hey, hey, do you know what time it is?" and i was like "...no?" and she was like "It's time to ROCK...maninov." and i was like *facepalm*)

Hahaa... Even GreenDay took a line or so of music from another, unknown band. (I forgot the other band, but GreenDay's song what Boulevard of Broken Dreams.)

Yep, Matt really love Rachmanivov a lot, Butterflies and Hurricanes also has a lot of similarities to Piano Concerto 3...I forget the rest of the name.
