Morfinnel found his way into Legolas' study. He slammed the door closed behind him. Making his way quickly to the hearth, where a new fire had been built recently, most likely by Caldor, the dark haired Elf leaned against the mantle. "What have I done?..." he whispered, his eye closed as his mind recalled the confrontation in Legolas' chamber just moments ago. "What have I become?..."

Talli cleared his throat, first making sure not to startle the dark haired elf too much. He sat up from a chair in the corner, uncrossing his legs. "Righteous, I assume," he responded to that last question. Maybe it was rhetorical, but he felt he could offer some insight for Morfinnel. "Blinded by anger and vengeance, Captain. Also by love...And these emotions are difficult to control when mixed together." The rogue stood and made his way over to the hearth, keeping his distance from the elf still. Not too long ago he had climbed in through another balcony down the hall and entered the room. The look on the other's face told him something went on when Thranduil entered the room and Morfinnel's arrival into the study. His gold eyes glowed by the flame's light, moving back and forth across the room. His features were dark and the scars were hidden so that for a moment created by an illusion, he almost looked normal.

Morfinnel looked up at him, his eyes cold and emotionless as he pushed his own pains aside. He stood, watching the rogue. "And I am sure you are an expert in such pains." he said, though not sarcastically for he knew that Talli did have insight into the problems which the captain now faced. "However, my righteous anger, as you put it, will have to wait until another day... if at all. You have the knowledge now, tell me what else you need to save Legolas."

Talli gave a faint smile, confirming his assumptions. They had many things in common if the two would just stop and chat instead of being rivals. "I don't think I need anything else. Probably some healing when I return back with the Prince, which I'm sure you can provide."

"And I shall gladly provide it, Tallison." Morfinnel replied with a slight smile. "You may have the fastest stallion this city has to offer, just speak with Caldor in the stables. I will try and keep Thranduil and his team from going to rescue Legolas until such a time as you return." the captain did not add his thought of, 'if you return'. Walking over to the rogue, Morfinnel put a hand on his shoulder. "Go with the grace of the Valar, Tallison."

Talli's smile widened. This would be an example of irony though, when Morfinnel mentioned the Valar. He was quite taken aback by that comment. Two elves fueled by the love for one elf join together to help her. This dark elf had turned to his evil ways in turn to do something good. This was confusing, if he took the time to dwell on it. The rogue reached up a hand and took Morfinnels, clasping it at the wrist. "THank you, Captain. I will do my best to help you all and save Legolas. I hope the Valar will see fit to give me such responsibility and achievement."

Morfinnel smiled slightly, "I think they already do. I have told you before, Tallison, the Valar will accept you for who you are, for the Elf within you. They will not fault you for something that happened without your control. Besides," his smile grew. "Mandos has assured me, just recently actually, that you have his blessings."

Talli couldn't help but laugh. "Well that's comforting," he commented, releasing Morfinnel's hand and took a step back, careful of the hearth. "But I doubt that doesn't excuse me from the crimes I've committed toward Middle-earth. So who knows..." He rubbed his head, still smiling, "Well, the day is almost up so I will be on my way."

"Wait." Morfinnel spoke, but he suddenly looked as if he were listening to another. 'You have Elbereth's aide, young one.' It was Mandos' voice. 'Hannon le, hir nin. Will she take Tallison to Mordor?' 'But of course. And she will bear him and Legolas hence if need be.' Morfinnel smiled before locking his gaze with Talli. "Mandos has told me that you have but to call upon Elbereth and she will swiftly take you to Nufeniel's Fortress. When you have rescued Legolas, she will bear you back as well."

Transported by the Valar. This seemed too easy. Talli raised a brow at Morfinnel, but he smiled anyways. "Many thanks, Captain and the Valar."

Morfinnel bowed, "May your journey there and back be swift, Tallison." he said, before moving to the doorway of the study. He stopped for a moment, turning to glance at the rogue. "Please, bring Legolas back alive." And with that, the captain departed.

Talli watched Morfinnel leave. He stayed in the study for a little bit longer to gather his thoughts. TO lay out a plan and an attack toward the two women in Mordor. He has to come back with Legolas alive. If not, then all will be in vain. Finally the rogue sighed, saying a silent prayer to the Valar and walked out of the room.

Legolas' study was right next to the Main House's lounge. However, the crackling fire in the hearth prevented Legolas from hearing Morfinnel and Sario in the next room. As he and Thranduil entered, Legolas quietly shut the doors and walked thoughfully over to his desk. He traced the intricate carvings of the tall backed chair before it idly. "Ion nin, is something wrong?" Thranduil asked, now standing before the desk and his son. Legolas shook his head, "I... I do not know. During my imprisonment in Mordor, I learned many valuable secrets... things we will need to know... but I can not recall any of them." The Elvenking nodded, "It is well, Legolas. Give it time." But the prince shook his head once more, moving toward the fireplace as he spoke. "No, ada... it is not well." he whispered, almost in a daze. Legolas took up the poker near the hearth, intending to strike the flames within into a blaze... but that did not happen. Before Thranduil had a chance to respond, the blond archer whirled around, shoving the iron rod directly into the Elvenking's stomach. Eyes wide in surprise, Thranduil stared at the handle of the poker, the handle which Legolas still gripped tightly in his slender hands, then up into the blue gaze of his son. Only... his son's eyes were black... not blue. "Dehino nin... ada." Legolas spat, pulling the poker out with such force that the Elvenking crumpled to his knees. "Le... Legolas... Why?" Thranduil whispered, both of his hands trying unsuccessfully to staunch the bleeding. The prince smirked, "To test my loyalty. Now... you will die."

Morfinnel flung the doors to the study open wide. In his hand was a knife, one that he kept stored in his boot for just such an emergency. However, Legolas had heard both Elves rush toward his location. Without evening thinking of who might be on their way to stop him, the prince positioned himself next to the doors. When they burst open, he struck without warning. Morfinnel stopped suddenly as a numbing pain set into his chest. He looked down at the poker that was protruding from his body, only centimeters from his heart. When his eyes found those of Legolas, he realized the mistake they had made. The prince ripped the poker back out, holding it before him as if it were a blade. He saw Sario, and he knew of her powers... but Legolas was ready to dodge if need be. When the poker was pulled from his chest, Morfinnel fell to the ground without a sound. Thranduil, now supported, but barely, by the edge of the hearth, watched in horror... there was nothing he could do.

Out from the Lounge came an ear piercing scream. "MELETH NIN!" Sario came in after Morfinnel not a second later, having witnessed the attack. She swiped her arm at Legolas, a bang resounding from the room and into the hallway, echoing. IN a wide arch, her attack caught Legolas and flung him away from the dark haired elf and into the desk. The woman knealed down next to the captain, hands gripping his shoulders. Nearby she could see Thranduil. Valar, what was happening? Legolas had returned and so far he had attacked his own father and friend.
