Nashi tugged her shirt down, still anxious about their new uniforms. Geez, could they never wear longer shorts like the westerners always did in the movies? No one else seemed bothered by them, so why did it bug her so much? Maybe she was overeacting again.
"NASHI! WATCH OUT!" Someone yelled, snapping her out of her train of thought with a volleyball to the head.
Now, she sat on the sidelines, holding an ice pack to her cheek. True, she could have kept playing, but she wasn't very good, and they seemed to be doing better without her.

Momo watched the girls playing from across the court, leaning comfortabley against the concrete wall. All in all he definately appreciated the new gym outfits. A girl was sitting on the sidelines, aww she looked so lonely. It was up to Momo to ratify the situation! He meandered over casually and stood beside the girl. He'd seen her before of course but he couldn't remember her name. "hey, why aren't you pkaying?"

With a meek little smile she looked up politely, then went back to staring at her feet, scooting over a bit in case he wanted to sit down. "I- I got hit, so the coach said I could sit out if I wanted. It's nothing really. I'm fine." Her voice faded off as she bit her lip and held the ice pack closer, trying not to make eye contact. She'd never been that good at talking to guys, or anyone for that matter.

Momo took the proferred 'seat' and rested his arms on his knees. "tats to bad, you looked lonely. My name is Momo by the way" he said by way of introduction, ignoring the fact that the girl seemed uncomfortable, besides she was offering him a very nice view of her shapely legs in this position...

She nodded, letting him know she'd heard him. "My name's Nashi, Nashi Sukizawa." A slight confidence spark let her ask a question, "You look a bit old to be in 2nd year gym." With a few little squints, she looked up at him, trying to figure out if she'd seen him before. Gah, the sun was blocking her view, she hated outdoor gym, always got a sunburn. Without thinking, she crossed her legs, the one next to him being the one crossed on top.

Momo felt his cheeks heat up in a flush, "i'm not in gym, i'm supposed to be in math and got bored." he looked around a bit nervously rubbing at the back of his head "actually i'm in my third year here. But it is nice to meet you Nashi-san" he tried to change the topic before he asked why he was watching girls gym

"Oh?...." She trailed, catching on that he wanted to talk about something else. Wow, she'd never spoken to anyone for this long, usually she'd quiet down and let them forget about her. But there wasn't really anyone here to take over talking to him, everyone else was playing, so she was kind of on her own. Trying to think of what to say next, she stalled, pushing her hair behind her ear, fiddling with her hands, standing up and stretching, anything to keep from having to start a new conversation. Finally, she cracked, realizing she was being rude, "Won't you get in trouble for missing class?"

Momo waited in silence as the girl racked her mind for words to fill the emptiness between them When she finally did he had to smile "Probably," he responded, "but it's not like it's the first time. Have you never skipped a class..well besides sitting out the occasional gym class?"

Thinking for a moment, she shook her head, "Um. Actually- I never have." The admission made her feel like a bit of a nerd, causing her to blush and look up at him, trying to see whether he'd been joking or if she had just made a fool of herself. "I- My dad would be upset if I did, and he's got enough to worry about without me being trouble." Quickly, she tried to fix what she'd said, "I mean, not that you're trouble. At least, I don't think so. I don't know. Sorry. I'll just shut up now."

Momo looked at the girl for a moment, getting the feeling that she rarely said that much at one time, and then promptly began to laugh. "well, we should fix that...next gym class instead of sitting on the sidelines meet me out front and we'll go get a something to eat or something." It wasn't like he ever really went to math unless it was test anyways. His parents were well off, he didnt need to keep his marks up to stay here.

Nashi blinked a few times, still not sure if he was serious, "Are you- I mean, what if we get caught?" Ok, she wasn't exactly a risk taker, but he seemed nice, and like he was listening to her, which was strange, usually she listened to other people. "How would we get back into the school afterword?"

Momo chuckled again "well we could try the door..." he suggested in an even tone trying to keep the mocking out of his voice. He shook his blonde hair out of his eyes and leaned back on his hands "so it's a date?"

"Oh.. Right. But, wouldn't someone see us?" It took her a moment to notice what he'd said, but when she did, she flushed bright red, "A- What?" Anxious, she looked up at the clock on the side of the building, pretty soon she'd have to go in with the rest of them and change, then was school wide lunch, so maybe she could still talk to him, unless he friends wanted her to sit with them. Then. Too much thinking.

Momo laughed "I could call it something else?" he offered. "Well decide and I'll see you then." he got up and with a wink raced off. If Nishi had looked around she would have seen the boys gym teacher coming their way to aprehend the him.
