My friend who has several face mods says that it'd look the best on me. My only setback is that my job does not allow ANY facial piercings AT ALL. My question for you guys is, after the piercer does it, could he/she put a clear retainer in instead of something that would be terribly noticable? That way, after it had healed, I could change the jewlery out when I felt like showing it off and wouldn't have to take several weeks off of work to heal.

I asked my piercer when I got my lip done if they could do that, and he told me no.
Didn't tell me why. Just said no. So I'd ask the piercer.

retainers are usually plastic. plastic has pores, pores that can hold germs, which will not be good for healing. so you can but its a risk to your piercing. it could end up not healing right, or get infected very easily. plastics just bad for healing time.
manroes do heal pretty fast tho. well it does depend on the person too.
i understand your pain tho.. i want my bridge redone.. and my job wont allow it...
:/ if anything just find something small to put in it. wait till you have like a couple days in a row off.. get it done than wait a day or so and change it to the smaller jewelry. still risky.. but its a option.
hope that helps some..... sweatdrop

I might just go on with the risk of plastic, I tend to heal pretty fast from my past mods, and if it gets infected, i'll just suffer through it.

I wouldn't get it done if I were you. Your work seems strict. Perhaps the time for a monroe isn't right now. :

I've come to the realization that I want the monroe more than the job. I've just been offered a job at a music shop and if they frie me for getting the peircing in 4 months than i'll just go work at the music place!

No, they have to put a larger labret stud in.
It allows it to heal and it's easier to clean when your monroe is swollen.
I just got it done two weeks ago. It's so amazing.
But yes, it does swell a lot the first few days and it does easily become infected!
