The great question has been answered, how do you move up in ranks?!
All you have to do is pass the chuunin or jounin exam, easy right? WRONG! These are no easy exams. Many will try, only a few will pass.
New Info!
I, the Shinjoushu, have made a new rule: You can be stripped of your rank if I see that your performance as an upper-level ninja is lacking. Also, if you are not active, your rank can be lowered.

Read the rest, Chuunin exam. Beyond that it depends on how active you are and how much of an asset you are to the village.

ya, but my real questions were what the chunin exan really was, how often it is, stuff like that. but i asked, so, ya.

The earliest there will be a chunin exam is after the Battle System comes out. And Creek, I'm a higher rank than you now... it seems really weird.
