You know I really don't know....lol...I saw the movies and in the first one when the song 'Dhoom Machele(sp?) played I had it translated as 'pump the rock.' I don't know but I think the phrase has something to do with creating ruckus or chaos...not sure....but it could mean bang.
Do you know in the first movie the song Shikdum? Well apparently the word Shikdum means dirty dancing in Turkish....I found it quite interesting.

Dhoom is like a loud noise, so basically a ruckus or bang. So dhoom machale means to create chaos.
