I really broke a fingernail today. I went to grab my dog and my fingernail got stuck in her collar and she tried to pull away and it ripped my nail. I had 1/4 of an inch above the quick line and 5/16 broke. It hurt so much. I think the worst part was the nail getting ripped off the skin. I bled quite a bit.

I keep my nails trimed, that way I avoid those incidents.

I took my acrylics off because they were expensive and because if I couldn't find the right person to do my nails then my hair would get caught on them while I was shampooing. I REALLY hated that!

Ouch! I used to love having nails when I was younger. They just seem more hassle then they are worth now.

ox0Star0xo I miss having acrylic nails, but I'm afraid to have them done while Im preggy. sweatdrop i was reading..that they can't really harm you unless your in a poorly ventalated area when you have them done...like most nail salons are. so..if you did themself like outside or next to a fan. your all good to go. same with dying your hair..i dyed my hair several times while i was pregnant and nothing bad ever happened.

I've never had acrylic nails before. I don't like the way they look. I like the way my nails are when they are long.

I understand that but I've had comments that my nails aren't pretty like the acrylic nails from acrylic nail wearers. Each to their own I say.
