Ok... look... Its a world. Open sky with spits of land here and there. There's a ground under the spits of land but its inhabitable. HOW FRIGGIN BIG DO YOU THINK IT IS? As for the Obsidians: They have a black and orange armor like Legend of Dragoon, I guess. They are just random soldiers. No need to go into deeper detail.
