In my NarutoX? thread, there was a bit where SasuNaru was debated. I figure a couple like this deserves a thread of its own, since it's so popular. So, I was to hear the arguments for and against this couple, canon wise. Do you think it's possible? Can you give me parts from the series that point towards their relationship? What about against it?
Lets see what this guild thinks, is SasuNaru canonly possible?

No, it will never happen. First of all I can give you some very real reasons for it such as peoples tolerance for homosexuality isn't ready for it, this anime is extremely popular and would lose alot of followers if they did decide to follow through with this pairing. i don't mind it even though I despise Sasuke with the utmost passion. I think that as well that Sasuke is going to test the life of power and get absorbed into it like Itachi did, Sasuke will never be the one to kill Itachi for that reason and because of that he will despise whoever did kill him and that rage just isn't going to work with Naruto. Naruto is ultimately just going to walk away or atleast thats what I think. I am sure if I took the time to look up every little piece of evidence I would have a very clear and decisive theory, however I am far to lazy to try right now and I have alot of work lingering over my shoulder so I really cannot afford or desire to spend my time looking for it. I will think about throwing my evidence out a little here and there over the course of my time soooo, GOOD NIGHT YA'LL!!

Prove that Naruto thinks of Sasuke like a brother, and not like just a friend, or not like something more. Second, don't be so rude in your arguements. Just because someone likes a couple doesn't give you the right to be so crude, when you haven't even proven them to think of each other as family anyway.

Canon-wise, it's impossible.
It's shounen manga. Nuff' said. This manga is directed towards children, mainly males. And with the homosexual tolerance right now, I doubt they'd suddenly make SasuNaru appear when they've quite established their relationship as brothers and/or best friends. There has been no explict, even implied signs of romantical love, whereas there has been between Hinata to Naruto, Naruto to Sakura, and Sakura to Sasuke.

While a drool-worthy fanatasy for us yaoi fanatics, I really don't think that it would ever happen. Naruto loves Sasuke but it's strictly brotherly. Ah, how i wish and dream that it was different. crying

In reality it's not even an option because as many have said Naruto is a shonen manga and would lose ALOT of popularity if they came out with that pairing. But I really would appreciate it if you would refrain from saying such vulgar things because you might offend someone. I still think the show should becalled Fish Sticks: The life and Times of Kisame Hoshigaki whee
