just wondering if anyone agreed with me that Deftones remind you of Tool or Apc cause the voices of the two are so different than form many others. also the song "Passenger" by Deftones features Maynard. i think it's a good song and Maynards souns wonderful in it.

I like earlier deftones, but they don't really remind me of each other.

Hmm... no, I think they're too different... you can even notice both styles separately in Passenger >_>

Deftones, it's about time someone made a topic about them. They are a good band, but I do not find relations between them and Tool, or them and APC. I did in my earlier days of listening to Tool. But now I have learned more of the bands. Enough of Deftones to know that they are different. I only find relation in one song that Maynard was in from Deftones.

I generally don't associate the two, since they really are quite different from one another. Passenger though was great. I'm not sure, but I think I might've bought White Pony just for that song. (hmm then again, I loved the rest of the songs.......except back to school)

that would probably be the only reason why i would buy that cd too, but my hubbie bought ti and he kenw i love Maynard's voice so he sent me the song ^.^

well i see all three of theses bands differently...but anyway, the deftones have been the band i've been listening to for about a week now,pretty much just them,and im completely addicted to "knife party" right now.......yeah.......

Knife Prty was pretty catchy and one of my more favored tracks from White Pony. Their self-titled album was the first one I listened to and a few songs stood out, but overall I liked White Pony more. I haven't given Adrenaline and Around the Fur an adequate number of listens, yet.

The Deftones are quite good, but I don't bother to compare the vocal styles with Maynard's.
They're two different people, singing about different but similar things.

Urg I got a huge craving for White Pony. Digital Bath and Passenger heart
I thought it was kind of funny when I first heard Passenger, though. "wtf that sounds like Maynard. He was never in Deftones...*google* Ah of course"
