So, my winter track coach, isn't a real track coach, he's a lax coach( that happens a lot where i am). We don't do hard training compared to spring and it's ridiculous. Does anyone else have this problem
also, does anyone know some stuff i can do at home to help get faster (besides crunches and pushups)

Although a little late, I might be able to help. What type of stuff are you doing at practice right.
And what if you did your own workouts similar to that of spring although with tweaked pace times. Like lets say your winter coach says go do 20 min run.
You could turn it into a fartlek workout. Push hard for 1 min, jog for a min, push hard for 1 min etc... for all 20 minutes.
If he gives you say a 400 or 800 workout and gives you crap paces. Pick it up so your pushing yourself. Whatever your coach tells you to do you CAN adjust how your body performs it in order to make it harder and thus more rewarding. And who know's the coach may catch on and adjust workouts to eventually make it better in the end for the team.
But without any detailed information as to what your coach does I can't suggest much more then that. And well get into the weight room, do drills and workouts you make up on your own. Just don't push yourself too hard xp Understand your body and what you are capable of and what will help best. Good Luck, and if you need any more help keep posting.
