Rules of the Lounge. -PLEASE READ!-

Welcome to the lounge, the Gaian SOS Brigade's spot for casual RolePlay. We don't have many rules here, but the few we have are important, so please keep them in mind!

1. No cybering (If you want to, take it to P.M.s)
2. Keep things (Violence, Romance, etc.) PG-13 and under ONLY
3. No bumping
4. Use (()) to talk out of character.
5. No ads (on or off-site)
6. No abusive comments (this includes flaming!)
7. Try to be at least semi-literate
8. Please post your character profiles
9. Keep any foul language to a minimum
10. No-God-moding (More on this in next post.)
11. Have fun!

In this post, you will be introduced how to RP here.

1. Any in character dialog should be in quotations and italicized.
Example: "The Quick Brown Fox Was Too Lazy To Jump"

2. As stated in the rules, out of character discussion should either be kept in the thread for it, or in double parentheses
Example: ((This is fun isn't it?!))

3. NO god-moding. This is a major factor in unfun RPs, and leads to pain on everyones part.
What is god-moding? Its when you post something that radically alters the RP you are in. Only the RP maker and people he approves of can do this.
Example:

Quote:

Matt flipped over the table, making it hit the megaphone that was nearby. The feedback the megaphone made caused a huge avalanche to destroy the cabin, killing Rob, the robotic butler.

4.This is the most important. In this subforum, try to stay in character as much as possible!
Example: Do not go:

Quote:

My guy picks up the cake and eats it.

It SHOULD be:

Quote:

He picked up the cake, slowly, and took a small bite.

NOW! Here's a sample RP post.

Good:

Quote:

Matt picked up the cake that the owner of the quaint cabin he was in had made just a few minutes before, and slowly took a small bite, careful not to burn his tongue. "Wow. This cake is delicious! I must eat as much as I can!"

Bad:

Quote:

My guy picked up the cake the lady maed erlier and took a bite, so that he didnt burn his tongue. Man this cake is delicious. I gotta eat more!'

Though both would be acceptable, the first is much more pleasant to the eyes.
