A Little Background Story:
Every year there comes a time where snow covers the ground and the air chills. Humans and Moombi alike get excited at the thrill of the holiday season that makes its way into our hearts. We are all left wondering what happens to those ornaments, or lights that we stored away last year but the truth is finally revealed... the Moombi in fact celebrate their own Christmas during this wonderful time of the year.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Haust, Kirola, and Kismet made their way into a huge forest. Each looking off in a different direction as they walked, amazed by the snow covered trees that towered off into the clouds, they ventured further into the wonderland.
Haust ran his nose along the snow before it crumbled under his paws. He was hoping to pick up a leaf along the way since he missed the autumn season already. Kirola was in a daze as he walked and Kismet was ahead of them both leading their little pack. She looked back at the two slackers and shouted, "Hey! If you walk any slower it's going to be New Years!"
Haust looked up and mumbled. She wasn't the one carrying a box on her back with a bunch of lights in it. Every year the Moombi would get together a week before their journey into the forest to discuss who would bring what. These guys were stuck with some of the light duty. Kirola chuckled at the random words Haust mumbled. This was going to be one interesting holiday season...

Mikari sighed, dragging along the sled behind her. "Why do I have to pull the stuff? You can walk too, you know!" She looked up at Saelen, then sighed, carefully moving along through the snow. She was pulling a sleigh filled with tincle and glass ornaments for the Christmas tree. "This stuff is kinda heavy, you know?!"
Saelen laughed from the air, flying in circles over her den mate. "Awww, come on! It's not that much further!" She smiled, swooping down and landing, folding her six wings up carefully. "I'll even walk with you." She said happily, her tails wagging behind her.
"I think you're crazy..." Mikari grumbled, stopping in front of the tree the moombi used to decorate every year. It was so...huge. This year must have been good for it to have gotten so much bigger. "Think we should wait for the others before we start?
"Oh yes, we must!" Saelen said, nodding.

Seibo sighed, carrying a box on his back that was loaded with food of all sorts. Though the heat from the turkey felt good and it kept him warm, however he still wished he hadn't had to actually carry the box. "Girls...you could help a little...." He murmured softly, only really able to see the feet of the three girls that were following him.
Krista smiled at her father, then shook her head. "But your stronger then we are dad. You're a guy after all." She pranced ahead, smiling happily.
Seibo sighed again, wondering why Marina and Melone weren't helping either. Maybe Krista'd convinced them of the same....

Haust came to a halt when the sight of other Moombi was clear. A small smile crosses his face and he continued to follow the others. Kismet began to jump around in the snow all excitedly, eventually falling through into a deep spot.
Kirola just stared at the lump of snow that was once a Moombi. "Kismet... be careful..." his voice trailed off as he walked over to Haust and pulled the box off of his back, letting it fall into the snow. His heart was heavy at the lost of flowers but hoped that in some way he could find a flower to two to give to his friends, even if it meant giving up his own prized possession.
Haust watched in silence as more Moombi made their way to the tree. His attention was then focused on the box of lights cradled by the snow.
Kirola shook the snow off of her as she pulled herself out of the deep spot then smiled at the other Moombi, Mikari and Saelen. "Hello there."

Four rather strange looking creatures were approaching the Moombi’s Christmas meeting place. Three moving balls of garland were stumbling towards the clearing, Vanya in the lead, who paused occasionally to stop the moving garlands from walking into a tree. Upon reaching the clearing, Vanya sat down and reached out a paw to the nearest garland ball. Pulling off the garland, a rather ruffled looking Nereus was reveal. She did this twice more, revealing Candy and O’Ahu as well.

Seibo set his box down, sighing heavily. "Okay, now girls, leave the food in there so it'll stay wa--Krista!" He sighed, watching his daughter remove the turkey and other foods. "Nevermind..."
Krista laughed, helping Marina clear a spot of snow before they started unpacking all of the food for everyone. "I can't wait to eat some pie!" She giggles, bouncing around in the snow.
Marina sighed, looking at the other moombi before she walked over to introduce herself. "Hello...I'm Marina." She looked over the others, then murmured, "We've got some warm drinks and food, if you're cold."

Kirola smiled. "Nice to meet you Marina. I'm Kirola, that over there is Haust and she's Kismet."
Each of the Moombi raised their head in reaction to hearing their names. Haust looked at all the Moombi who were gathering there and Kismet was still fascinated by the snow, jumping around in it like a child would a puddle.
Kirola continued, smiling, "Thank you for your offer. I'm sure a few of us will take up on that offer soon."

“ Here here! I’m all for warm food!” O’Ahu cried, eyeing said food eagerly. Candy gave him a gentle thump on his nose with one of her tails, causing him to look rather sheepish about his outburst. Normally he was very calm, but he loved food, just like his “dad” Nereus, who was watching the turkey.
Vanya noticed Seibo, and then noticed a female with familiar pattern of scattered spots and tear tract markings. Grinning mentally, she plodded over to see how her one-time mate and daughter were doing.
“ Hi there.”

Seibo smiled brightly, perking up when he heard Vanya's voice. "Hi!" He said, his tails setting around himself as he gave her a smile. "How are you enjoying the snow?"
Krista paused, looking at her mother for a moment before she smiled and ran to tackle her. "Mommy!" She nuzzled against her mother, her tails wrapping around Vanya to hold her close. "Happy Holidays, mommy." She smiled brightly. "Would you like something to drink? Ari warmed up a lot of apple cider for us, if you want some!"
Melone looked toward Krista and the new female, tilting her head as she silently watched them in curiosity.
Marina smiled and nodded to Kirola. "Sure thing. Just remember it wont stay warm forever." She turned, walking back toward her family, watching Vanya rather curiously as well, as if wondering who she was and what sort of relation Vanya had with her house mates.

Reasonably sure he was late, a white and red Moombi dashed through the snow. His paws were spread wide, acting as little snowshoes to bear his weight, and the weight of the six boxes of candy canes he had strapped to his back, held on by a thick woolen scarf the same colours as his fur.
Peppermint skidded to a stop when he reached the clearing, spraying snow everywhere. "Am I still on time for everything?" he asked, half covered in snow. He didn't seem to mind the little local blizzard his rapid stop had just created, and hadn't noticed that it would soon leak into his candy cargo.

Krista laughed, bouncing over to the new male. "Welcome!" She laughed, hopping onto his back, her weight obviously pushing the male to the ground. "Candy!" She smiled brightly, sniffing and brushing snow off the boxes before she jumped off him. "Ooo, you brought candy!" She said happily, smiling.

"Ooof!" The candy-bearing Moombi collapsed in a pile of snow and boxes, face first into the big fluffy white mound of the former he'd created when he stopped. "I… brought… candy" he said, dazed and winded not by the run, but by Krista's surprise attack. "Help… help yourself." His offer sounded more like a plea than an invitation, perhaps because he was trying to catch his breath at the same time.

Kirola, Haust and Kismet strung up as many lights as they could on the tree, making sure it wasn't too cluttered in the process. Most of them were distant creatures which made holidays a troubling time of year. Haust disliked the winter and missed autumn- no... he missed Halloween.
Kismet stopped her work when a whiff of food struck her nose. She turned to look at the food brought by the other moombi. Her eyes darted over to the candy canes and she hid a rather crazed smile. She's had candy canes only once in her life, her friend (a.k.a owner) gave her some just a few days before. She was bouncing off the walls so to speak. She knew it would be best not to take one but she couldn't resist the urge. Slowly she walked up to Peppermint and Krista and looked at them. "...May, I have one too..?"
Haust sighed and went off to sit all in his lonesome. He finished decorating his half of the tree and didn't wish to be involved in any conversations. Observing is what he did best for he spoke with a harsh tongue and did not wish to offend anyone during this cheery season.

Krista kiggled, grabbing one of the sweets and bouncing around. "Oh boy!" She said happily, before tackling Kismet. "Here!" She giggled, giving Kismet hers before grabbing another one. She turned, prancing around again happily.
Seibo sighed, going to help the other male up. "I'm terribly sorry about her actions, she's rather....excitable..." He said, nodding slightly. "Please forgive her actions...She's still very much a child..."
Marina shook her head. "If she weren't grown up, I'd think she was a child." She muttered, before going to help decorate the tree.
Melone blinked, going to huddle against Seibo while watching the candy cane colored male closely with curious eyes.

Kismet smiled as she got up, shaking off the snow that coated her fur. She picked up the candy cane that was given to her by Krista nodded her head slightly, "Thank you...".
Haust continued to watch everyone from a distance. While Kirola went around saying hello to all the moombi that were gathered and asking them how they were doing- after all, it was a polite thing to do.
