I think because at the beginning of the story, she just wears her heart on her sleeve. There's nothing fake or dishonest about her. She is how she is. She doesn't try to act a certain way because it is expected of her.

But, as the story goes on, she has a hard life lesson that makes her mature and grow up right before our eyes. I think it's something everyone has to grow through, and I like seeing her journey into "adult-hood".

I can feel for her situation... I think we all get "duped" at some time in our life, and her emotions are so raw...I just totally relate to her. And it's wonderful to see her character grow.. It's just great writing.

I'm sixteen. xd
I don't really think that it's Anne I found boring, it's just Persuasion as a text I found boring. Though when I read it I'd just been reading Wuthering Heights, Anna Karenina and Jane Eyre, so I think it's understandable.

Cool...Jane Bennet doesn't feature quite as much as other heroines do...but I think her important.

(I was surprised Elizabeth placed so low in my list, but I suppose I do prefer many others above her. I do love Anne though, for some reason, she seems the most human to me.)
