Doesn't 2D resemble Pinky from that old show "Pinky and the Brain"? They both got British accents, are stupid, and are too cute. I'd like to think of Brain as Murdoc, but without the swearing and sexuality. Just pretty much the one who gets mad at Pinky all the time. For those of you that haven't seen this show, it's about 2 lab mice who are set to conquer the world. As the theme song goes "one is a genius, the other's insane."
I'm sorry but I just had to point out how much 2D was like Pinky. Except without yelling "Narf!" all the time. And without being a lab mouse.

I used to love that show! ...That was about when my parents realised that I was a little odd...
Maybe 'D's a bit like Pinky, but I think 'D is more... dare I say, intelligent. He's not smart, but he's not a ridiculous idiot either. He's just numb and gullible with a low self-esteem. Actually, that's been annoying me recently, especially when people portray him like he can't even express himself in words. ROTO should be evidence of that.
I think the real difference is that where Pinky is hyper, 2D is numb to everything and doped up.
There was another cartoon character who reminded me a lot of 2D, but I can't remember who now... and it's not Jack Skellington, for the record.

Yep, that's exactly how I feel about it. But I can't help but think that 2D is slightly hyper-ish. It just sort of seems that way with his voice in the interviews. But in the pictures he's always tired-lookin'.

I guess I could see it, but 2D's is a bit more apathetic that Pinky.
I think 2D reminds me more like Osaka from Azumanga Daioh(if anyone has heard of that anime) cause both are:
* Have a tendency to zone out most of the time.
*lack energy to do anything
* have some sort of daydream/trips
*Usually have a blank look on the face.
That's my two cents.
