Mafia is a game. A game where you kill your friends, either in secret or by lynching them in public.

A Summary of the Rules of Mafia

For those of you that've played RL mafia, internet mafia is a good deal different, as the Mafia and related groups can contact each other at any time, and any amount of discussing and cheating can go on behind the GM's back.

How To Play:
In the game of Mafia you play either on the side of the Mafia or the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill off all the townsfolk, while the Townies' goal is to kill off all the Mafia.
The game is conducted in a day/night cycle. At night, all the active rolls (like mafiosa, cop, what have you) send me the actions they're allowed to perform as outlined in a PM I'll send to you. In day time, I'll announce the results of the public night actions and you (everyone; townies and mafias) will vote on who to lynch as a result of the night actions. If you're killed you have to leave the thread and not post in it again until the game ends.
All the stuff that goes on in the night, like the mafia talking to each other and deciding who to kill, goes on through PM. The things that go on during the day (arguing, voting who to lynch) are posted in this thread.
You ARE allowed to PM anyone in the game whether the GM knows or not.

Example:
Nick, Jim, Chuck, and Harold are playing Mafia. Nick got a PM saying that he's a Mafia Soldier. Jim, Chuck, and Harold got PMs saying that they're townies. Its Night, so Nick e-mails "Kill Jim" to the GameMaster. In the Day, the GM posts in the thread that Jim was murdered by the mafia. Jim can't post in the thread anymore. Chuck, Harold, and Nick argue over who to kill. Chuck posts his reasoning followed by VOTE NICK. Harold and Nick disagree and post VOTE CHUCK. Chuck is hung by the townspeople and is eliminated. Night falls again.

(Note: night and day in the game do not correspond to real life night and day - they last a good deal longer)

The roles will be: mafia, cops, doctors(if enough people play), and townies. I will assign these roles once the game starts.
