I was listening to Megadeth this morning and it kinda got me to thinking, if you could choose a musical era to have lived through, which one would you pick? Why?

For me, I think I'd like to have been around right when metal was beginning to come into being...that or in the beginning of the punk era neutral ...I suppose it's because of everything I've heard from people that actually remember those times, and it sounds a lot better than some of the stuff we've got going on today. *Points to MTV thread*

So, Discuss:
- Aforementioned Question
- Megadeth
- Pissing off your neighbors with obnoxiously loud music coming from your car stereo.
- Idiot drunks driving on the wrong side of the road.
- Homeowner's Associations D:

70's. So many good bands, gigs were MEAN. Led Zeppelin, early Pink Floyd, the list goes on.

I'm sorry but you really are an idiot...Punk was 70's, by 80's it was more aggressive, eventually becoming hardcore punk and "Oi!". The only "punk" in the 90's was your poser pop-punk/ska-punk s**t [ie; Green Day, The Offspring [though admittedly both started in the 80's, neither got fame until the 90's], etc].
