Many years ago, there was a powerful group dedicated to Science, Magic, and warfare. They were called the Spajeran. They obtained private funding from many guilds that allowed them to opperate outside of all moral and legal bounds. Soon, it came to the attention of the Paladins order that they were kidnapping children, and subjegating them to brutal experiments. Realizing that they were close to world domination, the paladins struck back. The half completed warrior-children almost defeated the paladins, but in the end, the paladins won, and destroyed the facility, killing everyone in the facility.
Now, in the small town of Halecia, a man called Xanitos has called for mercinaries to investigate a commotion in the destroyed Spajeran base. Xanitos was waiting at the towns only inn for everyone to arive, and today is the final day for recruiting before we leave. Xanitos is discussing the plans for the voyage with everyone here, and all seems peaceful.
Little do we know that we are just about to embark on a journey like no one's ever known before. And we're not the only ones here...

Xanitos is sitting across from Flaredez. "So now we have everything ready, we should be leaving soon." He says.

Shisharen entered the inn, looking around nervously. She paused, looking for the innkeeper. She had been looking around the region and hadn't found a good place to stay. She was going to stay here for a night or two then leave. As she looked around at the few people seated around the room, and her gaze paused briefly on two men conversing.

Maya was sitting on a roof beam overlooking the Flaredez and Xanitos. She was eyeing them with great interest, timing how long it took for them to notice her presence.

Asuryan walked down the inn stairs. "I believe I heard the name of the Spajeran mentioned here, can I be of any help?" He asks.

Derist walked into the room. His red cloak, and crimson armor seemed muted in the light, as did the rest of him. His features blurry, and he seemed to be at two places at once, occupying the same space.

"I presume that you are here in response to my invitations." Xanitos says. "Who here knows the story of the Spajaran?"

Derist raised his hand, and it looked like their were two of them, very close together, but still seperate.

"Alright, for those who don't." Xanitos continues "The Spajeran were a group of powerful mages, and alchemists and scientists subtly dedicated to world domination. They used gene alteration- apparently modifying everything that we're made of- to make soldiers that would be faster, stronger, smarter, and quite literally the best warriors imaginable." he then stops in the middle of the story and looks at Maya. "Are you here for this too?"

Zach ducked into the room, his giant form cloaked by his red wings. His eyes were covered by his glasses, but all could see how calm his face was. "I'm here, Xanitos."

Alex watched from the roof of a nearby building. He had heard that someone was seeking out the cause of the changes in the area so he thought he would investigate and see for him self.
