You may find that you will get more people to answer if you post in the correct area. Also most of your questions have been answered here in many of the threads. Take a look around and you will see what I mean. I see this is your only post here so I hope it is not your last and this is the only reason for you joining. Anyways, I'll try answering your questions, although I do dislike repeating myself. You may want to add a few more questions or your study will be faulty. For instance I'm from Toronto, Ontario Canada which is one of the largest gay communities in Canada and we have legal gay marriages. This changes a lot when it comes to the way one is treated and the like, so finding out where people are from might be crucial to your study. But if you saw me you would know I'm a dyke right a way, that is for sure. I don't hide it in the least bit. Lesbian/queer, but I'm more than comfortable with finding men attractive sometimes. I'm about 95%, and I don't think I could ever actually engage in a sexual relationship with a man.

Yup.

They sure do.

All are, yes. Took my dad a while to get used to it, but he's okay now. On the other hand, my gf's parents aren't very accepting, my best mate's mum sobbed, and my other best buddy expected her mum to freak, but actually took it rather well.
Have you ever been made fun of for your sexuality?
Only when I came out, and everyone said, "Well, duh!" Not so much being made fun of, as they knew before I did razz
The only harassment I ever dealt with in school was from a teacher who went off in a tangent in class about how gays have 'brain deformities'. I reported her, and she was dealt with. I haven't faced personal discrimation since I finished school.

No.

No, but my GF has on several occasions. Eg: he was kicked out of sports teams (by the staff!) when in school because they thought she'd perve on the girls in the change rooms.

Well, I've quite short hair, and right now I'm wearing my rainbow jumper, but that's pretty much it. I'm not butch, I'm not femme, I'm just me, and I'm proud of who I am.

Yep! My immediate family and all of my family except my dad's side of the family (which isn't a big side, anyway), and my aunt, her husband, and his kids know. They're the really close-minded people.

Definitely.

Of course. Very few of my friends are straight. In fact, I can think of only one off the top of my head...

No, but I've been told I'm going to hell. (He later apologized and said how bad of a thing that was to say, so all is forgiven.)

Nope.

No, but if I remain in the state of Tennessee, I won't someday be allowed to get married. :/

All except my mother, she tells me that she is accepting but her actions say otherwise.

Of course.
One time, this girl asked me if I wanted to come to her church and have an intervention, and I replied "Why? Did you need a date? Sorry, I'm taken". She has never, to my knowledge said something like that again.

I don't think so. I have a natural "classic feminine" figure (large breasts, hour-glass figure), long hair, and high cheeck bones. I honesty don't think there is any way to make me look butch, but I like the way I look.
I act kind of neutral I guess. Sometimes I'm more masculine, other times I'm more feminine.

All but a few cousins and my great-aunt. She's 93 and they don't talk to the rest of the family; my great-aunt is too old to need the worry (she would worry about me, that's all).

There is a great variety of stereotypes about lesbians. I meet many of them, but not enough of any stereotypical image to fulfill just one.

Yes, there are closedminded areas of Canada. Mostly the smaller towns. My Hometown was so conservative it was unreal. The Mayor even tried to shut down Pride because it was against her religion. She ended up being fined by the country for discrimination, but that did not stop the white surpremessist groups from harassing everyone who attended Pride. It was a fighting battle every year and I'm so glad to get out of there and to Toronto where it is safer. Thanks for your concerns. It was a long time ago and I'm doing a lot better now. Kat

Yes. I was bullied all through school for my presumed sexuality. I haven't encountered that since, but I've also become less noticeable and follow gender roles more in terms of my appearence.

No, but I know people who have been.

No.
