Dig it--this was from Sylvester's first appearance in the US as the new Doctor! The Who Tour was going to be in Atlanta, GA with Jon Pertwee, & they added Syl at the last minute, along with JNT.
And I WAS THERE! xd This interview was filmed live, outdoors in front of the Who Tour trailer, with an interviewer from GA PBS. We the attendees were standing around watching & freezing (because it was March!), and I had my really, really ugly scarf wound all over me trying to keep warm. It had severely clashing colors & really irked Jon, who never liked those scarves anyway. At one point I remember he pointed out at me & demanded "Someone get that scarf off her!" a nearby fan started yanking on it, & I growled at her. It was a joke (although I definitely didn't want to give up my source of warmth!), but I think Jon thought I was serious & looked at me rather disparagingly. gonk
This was my very first experience of Who fandom!
