Before we go any further, yes, I am a skeptic, but I am not going to be verbally assaultive, flaming or rude in any way. I simply want to research you people. You will be aware that I will play Devil's Advocate to any answer you probably give me so please do not get angry with me if I do, it is in my nature. I simply want to educate myself on the matter and draw a conclusion.

Now, I would be in your debt if you could take the time to answer these simple questions out of the goodness of your souls.

1. When did you first realise you were a vampire, whatever form you are? I.e What age?

2. When did you first feed, psi, blood, or otherwise?

3. What happens to you if you do not feed? (It may effect other people differently)

4. How can you be so sure you are a vampire?

5. Do you dress a certain way to reflect what you are?

6. Could you please give me some examples of the bands you listen to? (I am aware these last two questions do not reflect vampirism, but it is still part of my research)

7. Do you believe in any form of religion?

8. Do you talk about what you are with friends off the internet?

9. Do you have other vampire friends off the internet?

10. Do you collect weapons? This includes guns, blades, clubs etc.

11. Are you, would you say, a naturally violent person?

12. Are any other of your family members vampires?

13. Finally, do you read a lot of vampire related literature and watch vampire related films?

Thank you for your time.

Sorry, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

No Problemo ^_^

In responce to what you're asking:

Quote:
1. When did you first realise you were a vampire, whatever form you are? I.e What age?

I don't remember exactly how old I was, but I had stumbled across several web pages including Drink Deeply and Dream

Quote:
2. When did you first feed, psi, blood, or otherwise?

I've been feeding since I was 14, although most of the time (and all of the time back then) it was completely unintentional. The people around me in my classes would fall asleep, even the most studious people, there wouldn't be much conversation during lunch or on the bus because everyone became completely lethargic, as if they had no energy (gee... funny how that works), although sometimes I had passed by them in the halls only a few minutes before and they were talking animatedly to their other friends. That's how old I was when the people who I was close to started to abandon me. I still feed like that, and 99% of the time it's unintentional. Sometimes As and I are sitting around talking and he'll just fall asleep in the middle of the afternoon.

Quote:
3. What happens to you if you do not feed?

When I'm not around people I tend to get extremely sick. The 'symptoms' include, but are not limited to massive migraines (which have been diagnosed as such by a doctor, no self diagnosis for me), nausea, vomiting, fever, and hunger that is only made worse by the consumption of food. My doctors haven't been able to explain any of it and it's confused them a lot (along with the fact that it takes them 10+ tries to get my blood pressure and or find my pulse every time I go in). I start to feel better as soon as I'm around a group of people who aren't ill, in under an hour everything will be gone exept usualy for the migraine which takes a while to go away.

Quote:
4. How can you be so sure you are a vampire?

Vampire is just a title, I could call myself asparagus and it wouldn't make any difference. I just lack the energy I need to stay healthy and I can't seem to get it through food or vitamins. I eat healthy and exercise regularly (I go to the gym 3 times a week jujitsu), but it doesn't do jack s**t to keep my body healthy.

Quote:
5. Do you dress a certain way to reflect what you are?

I tend to dress in black and dull/dark/pale colors because anything else tends to hurt my eyes. I can't wear colors like orange, yellow, and most reds because they give me a bad headache. Other than that I dress like a "normal" person, in t-shirts (Gots to love my Gaia shirt ^_^; ) and jeans. I do have a thing for leather boots though...

Quote:
6. Could you please give me some examples of the bands you listen to?

I'll listen to pretty much anything that isn't country or rap (Korean rap being the only exeption). I listen to a lot of trance and techno, video game music too. I enjoy classical and metal and "old" rock. I believe if you looked in my CD case right now you'd find Bare Naked Ladies, The Pogues, Cradle of Filth, Guns N Roses, Do as Infinity, several movie soundtracks, and loads of burned CDs of DDR and Final Fantasy music.

Quote:
7. Do you believe in any form of religion?

Not really. I believe that all the "gods" from every religion exist, but they didn't do any creating or anything, they're just more evolved life forms than anything else. I don't pray, I don't cast circles, I don't buy holy books with the intention of burning them because I don't believe in the god they represent. I'm an herbalist, I create herbal mixtures to help my family and friends with sleep, luck, etc. Occasionally I will request a god for their help, but not through praying, I'll ask them like you'd ask your best friend for a favor "Hey Joe, if you're going to the store could you pick me up a gallon of milk? I'll pay you back" (not saying your best friend is Joe), something like that.

Quote:
8. Do you talk about what you are with friends off the internet?

It depends on the friend really. Of course As knows, but we're engaged so thats understandable. I tend to not tell people who aren't vampires though cause I had an... incident... That was peachy -_-. Oh well. Getting back to the point. The people extremely close to me know about what I am.

Quote:
9. Do you have other vampire friends off the internet?

A fair few. *counts off on her fingers* Lets see here... Four spring to my mind immediately, but I know there are others. I've lost contact with most of them due to moving and stuff like that.

Quote:
10. Do you collect weapons? This includes guns, blades, clubs etc.

I don't collect weapons, but I horde anime pictures on my computer. As collects swords and I'm holding them for him until he gets out of his dorm (they really don't like swords hanging on the walls of a dorm room). My dad collects guns, but hey, my dad isn't me.

Quote:
11. Are you, would you say, a naturally violent person?

No, violence makes me ill most of the time. When I was in 10th grade I got into a fight with a girl at my school (she dumped her lunch tray on my head) and afterwards I felt horrible because I had hurt someone (I bit her). If you hit me I'll hit you back, but I don't go out of my way to cause trouble or fights because they make me feel like crap.

Quote:
12. Are any other of your family members vampires?

My brother is a vampire and he is 10 years older than me. As is a vampire, and so is his mother and his younger brother.

Quote:
13. Finally, do you read a lot of vampire related literature and watch vampire related films?

I won't go out of my way too, but if it's there I'll read/watch it. I've read Anne Rice's books, but I didn't care for them all that much. I tend to read science fiction and humorous/satirical books.

1. So you can't remember how old but you can be sure you're a vampire?

2. If you started feeding at age 14, how come you didn't die before you reached that age?

Maybe there wouldn't be much conversation due to other reasons? Maybe they simply didn't like you, or thought you were boring? Please remember that anything I do say about what other people think is NOT MY OPINION.

Maybe everyone doesn't actually fall asleep, but you're so convinced that's what SHOULD happen, you only remember the times that someone does? I'm aware you only have your word to vouch for it and this cannot be proved and would require further experimentation.

3. Maybe your feelings of illness can be relation to depression due to lack of socialisation? Maybe you are in some way, conciously or subconsciously, dependant on talking to and seeing other people, that you suffer those feelings when you are without? The point about being around healthy people may be that adequately healthy people are more fun to socialise with.

4. Again, a lack of energy is a sign of depression, which could be related to lack of socialisation.

8. Would you care to elaborate on the situation you encountered when you referred to the "incident"?

9. Are your vampire friends the same age as you, and the same "type"?

12. Does your brother talk about this openly with you? If so, did he ever talk about it with you when you were quite young?

1. I've always been subtly aware of what I needed and how to get it since I was about 6, but I didn't know that it was vampyrism until around last year.

2. I've been an unintentional psi feeder since I was about 6 or so. It was just automatic. I was aware of it happening, though. I didn't start to learn to control it until last year.

3. I get really lethargic and sleepy, and I get sick easily.

4. I just feel it. It's hard to explain, but it's just this subtle awareness of what I need, and how I need to get it.

5. Not to reflect my vampyrism, but I do dress... gods I hate this term... "goth" I guess. xp I wear it because I want to, not to reflect a style or fit in to a stereotype. sweatdrop

6. Erm, I like Nine Inck Nails, Nirvana, and Korn, mostly. I'm also a drama geek, though, so I'll either be listening to metal or show tunes. sweatdrop

7. I'm athiest. I don't believe in gods or perfect beings, but I do believe in souls, spirits, auras, etc.

8. Yes.

9. Only one of my friends IRL knows.

10. No.

11. Not really.

12. Nope.

13. Yes.

I'm not the best person to answer this because I'm not entirely sure if I am a vampire... But as this is my belief so far I'll be happy to tell you what I am aware of ^.^

-Blind Guardian-

1. When did you first realise you were a vampire, whatever form you are? I began to suspect about 2 years ago (15)

2. When did you first feed, psi, blood, or otherwise? I'm not sure when I started really... It would have to have been quite some time ago but I didn't really pay it any notice untill I was 12.

3. What happens to you if you do not feed? Well... I tend to not really be able to help myself but on the rare occasion that I find myself completely cut off from people I just tend to sleep more then ussual... I don't really have any emotional reaction at all...

4. How can you be so sure you are a vampire? I'm not... It's just the best explanation I've found thus far...

5. Do you dress a certain way to reflect what you are? Not really... I went thourh a gothy phase in 8th grade but that being behind me I'll wear just about anything... Though I do tend to gravitate towards black and other dark colors but that is because I worry about my weight and darker colors tend to be a tad more flattering.

6. Could you please give me some examples of the bands you listen to? Wow... Bad question... I listen to everything.... Sugar Cult, Patsy Cline, Papa Roach, Eminem, My Chemical Romance, Garth Brooks, Breaking Benjamin, Weird Al, Slip Knot, Eiffel 65, Linkin Park, Reba, Taking Back Sunday, Cher, David Bowie, Gacht, Dream, Jeff Foxworthy xd , Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Alison Krauss, Goo Goo Dolls heart , Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Three Days Grace, Eric Clapton, Lovin Spoonfull, Aretha Franklin heart , Red hot chili peppers, Sarah McLauchan, White Stripes, System of a Down, Hoobastank, Eve 6, video game music, anything from a musical, and anything else that happens to be on the radio....

7. Do you believe in any form of religion? I'm loosely Christian with no real allegiance to any one church...

8. Do you talk about what you are with friends off the internet? Not really... It doesn't affect them.

9. Do you have other vampire friends off the internet? Not to my knowledge... I could be wrong. I've never asked.

10. Do you collect weapons? I have several pocket knives and switchblades...

11. Are you, would you say, a naturally violent person? Not violent no... I had some anger management problems growing up but I'm proud to say that those have been mostly overcome since I was 14~!!! ^.^

12. Are any other of your family members vampires? I don't think so... If they are I doubt they realise it or reckognise it for what it is.

13. Finally, do you read a lot of vampire related literature and watch vampire related films? Oh yeah, I love them.... They're completely ridiculas but they are fun to watch/read... But then again I watch and read alot of fantasty movies/books. But then again I've watched movies like 'Labyrith' and 'Legend' and I've read most of the 'Xanth' series and I've never believed myself to be an elf, faerie, or halfing.... (Fun though it would be wink )

1. When did you first realise you were a vampire, whatever form you are? I.e What age? I was probably fully aware of what I was at 10. I had always "fed"(I hate the word) but I never knew what I was doing until I asked my mom and then looked it up.

2. When did you first feed, psi, blood, or otherwise? I always have. I really dont remember my "first time" because I've always been.

3. What happens to you if you do not feed? (It may effect other people differently) I get dizzy, lethargic, apathathetic, sharp hunger pains and I sleep for days. I also get nasty headaches. It rarley happens, though, because half the time I feed unconciously.

4. How can you be so sure you are a vampire? Like Satsukiame said, it's really just a title.

5. Do you dress a certain way to reflect what you are? Pfft. No. I dress how I like, and it's usually comfortable clothes I can move around it.

6. Could you please give me some examples of the bands you listen to? (I am aware these last two questions do not reflect vampirism, but it is still part of my research) Uhm, Train, Coldplay, Queen, The Who, Sting, Jack off Jill, Blink 182(the old stuff, not this new crap), Sugar Cult, movie soundtracks, broadway show music like The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita, Chicago, and classical music because I'm a band geek.

7. Do you believe in any form of religion? Uh.. I'm agnostic. I can't prove or disprove anything.

8. Do you talk about what you are with friends off the internet? Select few. I have.. I dont know how to say it, sort of skeptical strict friends. These are the friends I can trust with anything but my sexuality, religion and this. About three people IRL know.

9. Do you have other vampire friends off the internet? I do, actually. Two. One doesn't know what I am, but she'll find out in time.

10. Do you collect weapons? This includes guns, blades, clubs etc. Not really. Occasionally when I go to a Scottish Games kind of thing, I'll buy old celtic style weapons, or just weapons that look like they'll do some serious damage. I recently bought a double balled flail.

11. Are you, would you say, a naturally violent person? Nah. I have a raging temper-- yes, i'm violent. I try to curb it, though.

12. Are any other of your family members vampires? No. I think my sister might be an otherkin type, but i'm not sure. I dont understand that exactly. My mother is very perceptive, though. I think she can feel them.

13. Finally, do you read a lot of vampire related literature and watch vampire related films? Not really. I read Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles because I loved the Mayfair Witches books, and a few of her other books like Belinda. I just love her style, and i'm a sucker for sap and fluff sex.

Leviticus can shove it

1. When did you first realise you were a vampire, whatever form you are?

It took a long time for me to realize what I was. I'd been kinda frail in my childhood, I burned easily and got sunstroke more than once, and it seems that I've always preferred playing outside at night and was drawn to stories of the occult, particularly vampires. But I didn't really know anything until I fed for the first time.

2. When did you first feed, psi, blood, or otherwise?

It was an accident, actually. I was hanging out with some friends, one of whom happens to be a dhampir (son of a sanguine vampire), and I was feeling particualrly tired. I did this astral projection thing, and I "bit" him. Next thing I knew, he was glaring at me and saying "you bit me!" My other friends were all "WTF?" because they'd seen me sleeping a good 5 feet away from him the whole time.

3. What happens to you if you do not feed? (It may effect other people differently)

Sun sensitivity, tiredness, headaches, constant cravings for anything red (I REALLY don't know why this is-I'm a psi-vamp), weird dreams, falling asleep a lot.

4. How can you be so sure you are a vampire?

Years of being sick if I don't feed, lots of research, a number of spiritually sensitive people that could tell what I was.

5. Do you dress a certain way to reflect what you are?

I wear a lot of black, but mostly because its slimming and warm. I also wear red, but again, its just because it looks good on me.

6. Could you please give me some examples of the bands you listen to? (I am aware these last two questions do not reflect vampirism, but it is still part of my research)

Savage Garden, Utada Hikaru, Linkin Park, and Metallica

7. Do you believe in any form of religion?

I am a Christian.

8. Do you talk about what you are with friends off the internet?

Not often. My mentor/guardian is really the only one I talk to about it. Two or three others know about it, but we don't talk about it.

9. Do you have other vampire friends off the internet?

Why do you think I hang out on forums like this one?

10. Do you collect weapons? This includes guns, blades, clubs etc.

I collect decorative knives, and I used to be on the air rifle team in High School.

11. Are you, would you say, a naturally violent person?

No. Although my younger sister would beg to differ.

12. Are any other of your family members vampires?

Not that I know of.

13. Finally, do you read a lot of vampire related literature and watch vampire related films?

Used to read Chris Pike's Last Vampire series, read Silver Kiss, and the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series. I don't have much time for that anymore though. College takes up too much time.

1. When did you first realise you were a vampire, whatever form you are? I.e What age?
Oh.. God.. um does sophomore year of High School Count?

2. When did you first feed, psi, blood, or otherwise?
As far as I can remember Freshmen year My bodys Psi Feeding started kicking in however I didn't have a name for it.

Well... Um if I don't feed I get sick (I have experimented around with this) also I have few minor psychic Abilities, such as Empathy and a tiny bit of precognition.

5. Do you dress a certain way to reflect what you are?
I do somewhat dress what people call "Gothic" however I can be far from it most times. I am more or less a mixture of the "swing era" with a bit of the "80's" tossed in. But I do dress victorian and Rennisence as well.

6. Could you please give me some examples of the bands you listen to? (I am aware these last two questions do not reflect vampirism, but it is still part of my research)
Okie dokies, well I listen to lots of sing and 80's type music/bands. I Love VNV Nation, Jack Off Jill, A Flock of Seagulls, Duran Duran, (old school) Green Day, (Old school) Blink 182, Enigma, Seal, Savage Garden, etc.

7. Do you believe in any form of religion?
Noppers, however I connect with Wicca, Duridry, and Basic Pagan type religions).

8. Do you talk about what you are with friends off the internet?
Yes, and none of it seems to bother them, however if they find my website and ask then yes I will tell them if I believe they are open enough to it. I wont tell them otherwise.

9. Do you have other vampire friends off the internet?
Yes, Many many, a many razz

10. Do you collect weapons? This includes guns, blades, clubs etc.
Blades (more or less my boyfriends collection) however, I'd like to get more.

11. Are you, would you say, a naturally violent person?
Nope, but I can be sometimes.

12. Are any other of your family members vampires?
My Real father was.

13. Finally, do you read a lot of vampire related literature and watch vampire related films?
Somewhat, I mean we all seem to conect with them and these greatly help the "awakening process"

1. So you can't remember how old but you can be sure you're a vampire?

Okay... That was somewhat incoherent. I don't remember exactly how old I was when I finally figured everything out, although I had thought so for a long time. I don't really enjoy calling myself a vampire cecause that word keeps the connotations of evil, psychopathic, blooddrinking freak. I just don't have the energy.

Quote:

Thats when I distinctly notice that I started feeding, I never said that I hadn't been feeding before then, sorry if I wasn't clear. I didn't die because when I was younger my body could make it's own energy. I also didn't mean to imply that everyone fell asleep. If I was comfortable discussing this with the people I hang around with, I'd get them to vouch for me, but I'm really not. When we hang around at the arcades and play DDR, etc. everyone gets exhausted before I do and I'm the one who doesn't remove herself from the DDR pad for an hour and a half while playing on heavy. I have really poor stamina, gym classes in middle and high school showed me that much. Shouldn't I have gotten tired before them?

I have a councilor and I talk to my doctor on a regular basis. I was diagnosed with mild depression over a year ago, but have since gotten better. None of us have found myself slipping back into that hole as of late.

Quote:
4. Again, a lack of energy is a sign of depression, which could be related to lack of socialisation.

Me and lack of socialization. That's a laugh. Exept for recently when I haven't been able to get around because of my tendonitis, I go out to see friends on an almost nightly basis. My neighbor comes over to talk to me in the mornings so he can mooch a ride to work, that and he's a nice guy. One of my cats is in love with him. ^_^;;

Quote:
8. Would you care to elaborate on the situation you encountered when you referred to the "incident"?

I elaborated on the "incident" in one of my frist posts here. I don't care to go into it again because it is still a fairly touchy subject.

Quote:
9. Are your vampire friends the same age as you, and the same "type"?

It depends on the friend. Some are older by several years or more, some are younger by years or more, others are within months. They range from psy to sang to all the little minor types that no one seems to acknowledge.

Quote:
12. Does your brother talk about this openly with you? If so, did he ever talk about it with you when you were quite young?

My brother and I were fairly distant when I was small. He spent all of his time away from home, but now that he's settled down we talk quite frequently. I didn't find out first hand from him that he was a vampire until last summer, although I had felt it for a long time. We talk about it fairly openly although between us the subject of feeding is like talking to eachother about our sex life.

1. So you can't remember how old but you can be sure you're a vampire?

2. If you started feeding at age 14, how come you didn't die before you reached that age?

It all depends on when she awoke and how long did it take too fully awake and such. And just because you don’t remember when you awoke doesn’t mean you can be sure of what you are. Its like being reborn in a way you don’t remember the details that day etc. (some might but that would be odd.) but does it mean its not true? (I might have proved my point or I might not have I really am to weak from lack of feeding to care.)
