((Just copied and pasted from the old thread from two years ago. Written by Himi_Firestarter.))
Between the separate barrack is a building. One story, brick, and rather plain it is nothing special on the outside though inside is another story. The majority of the building is taken up by on large room that looks like a cross between a living room and a rec-room. A pool table and a beat up foosball table are pushed onto one side of the room; on the other is a Christmas tree in the process of being decorated. A fireplace roars in another corner almost recreating a home away from home for the soldiers during the holiday season.

Kard pushed the door open slowly, looking around the room. He hadn't expected a scene so... festive. It looked almost like a storybook picture. Kard allowed himself a small smile about the fact that outside this picturesque little building were the domiciles of people who were paid to kill other people. He looked from the tree to the pool table and noticed a small little radio on the wall over to the side. Sure enough, there were christmas cd's. He fished around for a bit and finally slid a disk in. Frank Sinatra's voice filled the room. Kard closed his eyes and smiled. Back when is mother was around, when he was very small, his mother would always play christmas songs almost nonstiop throughout december, and she had always been a huge fan of Sinatra. He went over to the cough and sat down, eyes closed, and simply listened to Frank sing and think about times that seemed centuries past.

Kyle walked in, " Happy Holidays, ********." He smiled and walked over to Kard. He smiled and gave him a pat on the back. He was going to talk to him but he saw he was deeply in though about something and decided to let him be. He walked around the building. Flashbacks of the previous years' he's spent in this building raged through his head. He remembered the party, the crazyness, the people.....the people. Kyle bowed his head as he thought of the Templars Alumni. The faces and exprieneces with them reverberated through his mind as they would in a movie, like he was reliving them. As if on cue, a small memorial video came onto a wall from a projector.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would now like to honor those who have come and gone through the Black Templars from the 1st formation to the present.
I think only 4 of us here will know this name but to us, it means everything. He was one of the first, he was one of the best. His name was Gunther Valian, he was the 3rd person I met on Gaia and he was an honor to serve with...
Leon Silver... see you 'round the playground
Hank Rock...Say safe in Iraq for as long as you may be there.
Nysse Richardsdottier..unforunately, I never really got to know you, but I hope you had fun.
Shani ...may you......ROT IN HELL YOU GODMODING b*****d! hahahaha
Seamus Osuillabhain ... You were an honor to serve with, may you have that impression with anyone and everyone you corss paths with.
Lastly, but most importantly...
You were a founding member; you helped lay the principals we revolved around; as much as the newer guys don't know yet, you still affect us; you enobled us, and you will not be forgotten.
Himi_Firestarter ... I hope your trials and tribulations pass by easily, and you continue through life as best as you can.
You were a leader; You were a mentor; You were a friend...
To all on this list, and you any I have forgotten, we hope you have nothing but good memories from us and I hope you succeed in everything you pursue in life and you take every oppurtunity life throws at you.
Thank you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Himi's image flashed around the room from thwe year's past, a tear ran down his cheek, "You will be missed..."

((It's kinda sad, looking back like that, looking at those who are no longer with us. To Templars past and present! Oorah!))
Soon after the door had closed behind Alucard, it slowly creaked open once more, a cold wind flowing into the room, the flame in the fireplace flickering for a moment. Xenos stepped into the room, closing the door quickly behind him. He was fully covered by his cloak, taking it off after he had entered, placing it upon a coat rack next to the door. A hollow smile crossed his face, and he walked slowly forward. Approaching the mini-fridge, he leaned over and reached into the fridge, pulling out a bottle and a few pieces of ice. Putting the ice into a cup above the fridge, he grabbed it and went over a seat directly across from the fireplace. He poured the vodka into the glass and took a few sips from it, starring into the fireplace.

Kurt opened the door quickly, and rushed in, his hands on his elbows. Past his elbows, was an Iron Maiden shirt with Eddie chained to the wall of a sanitarium. Over it, was a dark jean jacket. The sleeves, were cut over his thumbs. He shivered slightly, and then walked to the refrigerator. He saw a stack of glasses, and picked one up. As he poured the hot chocolate into it, he looked around the room. Kard, Kyle, and Xenos were already here. He walked with his now full glass to a couch, and sat down.
"It's ******** cold." he whispered as he put the hot chocolate to his face. Kurt never liked to be cold, but to be too hot, was even worse. He put his wet Vans onto the table, and began tapping to the music.
"Who the hell put this on? It sounds fine, but how old is this s**t?" he asked rather loudly. He then saw how quiet it was. Kard was into his music, Kyle was quiet in respect of Kard, and Xenos...god only knew what Xenos was thinking about.

((Alucard I will have to say that was beautiful man. Pure brilliance.))
Carlos was already in the party hall putting up decorations when the memorial came on. He was currently crouched behind the bar making sure there was enough alcohol to for the party to come. In this line of work, alcohol was a good friend...at least for Carlos. Carlos merely smirked at all the remembered names...close to every soldier up on the wall he had served with personally. "Well," he said turning to Kyle, "unfortunately we still got you."

And in came Fina, in about as much of a hurry as Kurt earlier. Wrapped up in her trenchcoat and wearing a large backpack. "It's too COLD when you dress up for the event!" She let out, perhaps considering not doing so again... But she guessed she might once more some other time. Just once more. Immediately she walked over to the fireplace and crouched down infront of it to warm herself up, setting her backpack beside her. She was still wearing her trench, deciding not to remove it until she was warmed up enough.

Kard opened his eyes when Kurt spoke, a small smile played across his lips. A slow melody played on the next song before Sinatra broke in. Chestnuts roasting on an open fire... Jack Frost nipping at your nose.. "It was before either of our times, Kurt." Kard said gently, "Just relax and have some respect for a great classic from a great man." With that he stood up and got himself some hot chocolate of his own, blowing it off before taking a cautious sip and still burning his tongue. Fina came in and he smiled again as she made her little outburst. "Well, Fina. What fun would an event be if you couldn't dress up for it?" He took a moment to inspect himself. He hadn't changed his outfit much at all. Another dark blue long sleeved, same old black vest. Still, when you find a look that works. He returned to his place at the couch. Any closer to the fire and he wouldn't be able to stand the heat. He was much more of a cold weather person. It was far easier to get warm when it was cold out than the other way around. Right here was just far enough away to keep it from being too far in either direction. He sat back and sighed contently. No unhappy daydreams. No regrets, not right now. Right now was just him, his hot chocolate, the fire, his comerades, and good old Sinatra.

Kurt shook his head, and got up. After Fina made her outburst of her clothing, Kurt looked at himself. He hadn't dressed up for the occasion at all. He walked to the kitchen, and poured the hot chocolate down the drain. He only got it to warm his hands. He walked back to the couch, and sat down with a: humph. He laid his head back, and closed his eyes. He could see a tree, in his living room. Decorations adorning it. He could see presents under it; and then himself. His small, seven year old self. It was the first and last time, he was able to leave that god-awful school. He saw his childhood self, clear as day, rip open a present and find a white and black fender stratocaster. His first, and most loved guitar. He held his hands as if he were holding the guitar, and began to "strum" Pink Floyd's "Hey You." He opened his eyes, and sat up. His daydream was over.

Fina looked over the others for a moment before noticing how much warmer she was already. So she grabbed the backpack up, walking near the door and hanging up her coat. She was dressed up in a red bustier, red thigh high boots, and long red gloves. After hanging her coat up, she set the backpack down and walked over to the bar, seating herself on one of the stools and turning to lean her back against the edge of the bartop...

Before long, the door swing open once again. This time, a solemn, tired-looking York stood at the entrance, a cigar in his mouth and a long brown trenchcoat wrapped around him, covering his clothing. York took the cigar out of his mouth and smiled as he looked around at everyone. Before shutting the door, he took one last drag of his cigar before throwing it down into the snow and stepping inside the warm room. York walked straight over to the coffee/espresso/hot-chocolate machine. He poured himself a hot cup of coffee and walked over to Kard.
"Hey man." York said. Then he paused as he took a sip of his coffee. Then he continued: "The Christmas holiday sure brings back memories, eh? Not just of the Templars, but of family and friends. I still remember opening gifts on Christmas morning with my parents. Damn, it feels like so long ago." York shook his head as he stared at the wall, thinking and waiting for a response at the same time.

Kurt saw York walk in. The man looked angry. When he said something about past memories, Kurt smiled and nodded. He tilt his head back, and let the memories flood his mind. After two or three good ones, they were nightmares. Death. Grusom mutilation. Training. Killing. It was so dark to him now. As the bad memories came back, Kurt opened his eyes, and inhaled. After blinking a few times, he exhaled. The past was behind him now. Everything he had done...memories...just memories.

Xenos gazed into the flames, almost entraced. He was leaning forward, his eblows on his kness, and an almost empty glass in his hand, hovering in the air. He halfway paid attention to the slideshow on the wall, reacting to it mentally much more than one could see that he was physically, which he appeared to not even notice it. When it got to Himi however, he averted his gaze from the flames, looking at her face, then away, over his opposite shoulder.
At this point he noticed Fina, who had just taken off her coat to reveal a festive outfit. He quirked an eyebrow and watched her as she walked over to the bar and sat down. Looking back at his drink he smiled for a second, and then refilled his glass. Xenos got up and left the fire, walking over to her. Lifting his glass to her, he said to her with a raised eyebrow, "You know, people of this sort don't usually dress like that. What's your excuse?"
((And Kurt, you were in a conflict involving organized crime. You weren't part of a death squad or anything. xd ))

Fina looked up as Xenos approached her, eyes moving to his face as he spoke. She let a little smile play over her lips. "I think it looks nice on me..." She contemplated playing around for a moment, then the usual habit of thinking more seriously kicked in. "Though to be honest, I hadn't usually dressed up for anything other than to fit in during hits. I supposed it would be a good change for this year."
Usually she let her mind remain blank, and just went places with the usual suit of black. She had a few different ones but everything was all the same color. This was her only outfit she had, right now, that was something else. She just guessed it was how she was raised. To think seriously instead of goofing about. It certainly helped to keep her alive through her hits, but it left her with little real social life. Until she joined the Templars, that is. Even then, she didn't talk all too much... She guessed she should give it a shot, but she didn't know what she'd talk about. It's not like she held any real emotions for her past job, aside from her families own personal little religion. She was sure they didn't want to hear about that... Especially during a time of the year that's supposed to be cheery...
A little bit after her answer, she let a little pout play across her lips. "You don't think it looks good on me, sir?" She let out playfully.

He give him a pat on the back and walked over to Xenos whom looked rather forlorn. Kyle turned his head and saw the slideshow and after getting a glass of hot choclate he whispered, "I miss her too, sir." Then, he left, and Kyle meandered behind him passing by the several other conversations being tossed about. While he past, he gave a nod to York, Kurt and since Kard was the closest and reassuring pat on the back. Fina's clothes were brought into conversation at the fireplace After listening Anderson added in, "I'm sorry, sir, you don't look like a fashion guy to me." He sipped his cocoa.
