This is the start of one of the very first stories I have ever written. It was created in 2001, and has been tweaked countless times over the past few years. I've shown it only to a few people, it is very hard to find people that will actualy take the time to read it through, and actualy give me some intelligent responses. When I found Blue Haven Cafe' I immediatly saw many other potenial writers, and upon seeing this I joined right away because I love to write, and want to converse with people who share that passion. So if you're reading this story you have my thanks, and respect, because you took time out of your life to read my story. Feel free to tell me what you think and perhaps give me some pointers. xd

It was incredible. The professor never imagined that he would live long enough to see the Great library of Alexandria, but there he was! It was huge, the ceiling soared up into the sky, and sunlight streamed through the gaps. On the walls and pillars where symbols, each describing its own story. Torches where set everywhere and large shelves held thousands of scrolls written by many great philosophers.

"Wow," he whispered to himself, "the knowledge that can be learned, all these scrolls just waiting to be read!"

He walked through the crowd of people in the lobby and up to the librarian.

"Excuse me miss, but where may I find your scrolls on magic?" He asked.

She looked up at him and smiled. She was incredibly beautiful, with her hair let down, and light skin that looked as soft as linen.

"What kind of magic are you looking for? Dark? Black? Demonic? Light?"

"Ummm... Black."

She thought for a second before pointing him in to the third floor. Professor Jeeves made his way up passing through the torch lit hallways and people carrying scrolls with them. He made it and began to browse through the sections. He found what he was looking for, "Corruption".

Years before his time a great prince was corrupted by and evil sorceress. She corrupted his soul, and turned him against his loved ones. The sorceress then found a way to make it so that the corruption could spread through blood. This made many people turn into demons. Demons that the sorceress could control. She used them to wage war on the people of the planet. Aaron tried to stop her, but ended up dieing in the process. His son, however lives, and all though his son inhertited the corruption he is immune to its effects. The professor stumbled upon Aaron's son, Santiago on the market streets scavenging for food. Jeeves wants to use all the information at the library to possibly find a cure for demonic corruption, and put an end to the war, and to do this they needed Santiago. Aaron's son is the key to their survival.

He opened the scroll, and began to search.

Santiago grew restless as the moon appeared from behind the clouds. He sat on the edge of his window looking over the city. He began to think. Why does the professor want me? What makes me so special? Am I really the son of Aaron? Santiago held on to his dagger that held the royal emblem and sighed. All I ever wanted was to live in peace. Why must I be the one to save the people? Must I be my father's keeper?

Santiago looked up at the moon and thought about his past. He really couldn't remember much. In fact all he could remember was waking up one morning and finding this dagger in his hands. He looked down at it.

"You're the only one I can really trust."

He gripped it tighter and kissed the handle.

"This is my fate, this is how God wants it to be."

"Good God!"

The professor looked again at the old scroll. He double checked and wiped his glasses repeatedly.

"It can't be."

It was nightfall now and he was reading in the moonlight. The crowd that was once there was now gone and the library was closing for the night. The professor quickly packed his things up in his satchel bag and walked over to the librarian.

"Excuse me miss, but may I borrow this for tonight?"

She looked at the scroll then at him.

"Of course you can."

"Thank you miss. You have a good night now."

She smiled and replied, "You too sir."

The professor nodded, and walked out the large double doors, making a loud noise as the doors closed behind him. The librarian's smile left her face.

"He's found it. I want him dead, and do it tonight. Make it seem like some thieves killed him."

A dark cloud of black mist formed on her shoulder, it materialzed into a small demon.

"As you wish my lady."

It flowed off her shoulder and out a small gap in the wall.

Santiago was uneasy now that the streets where empty. It was too quiet for him. He felt something was wrong, and tightened his grip on the small blade concealed within his cloak.

A few minutes passed before the dark figure of the professor came into sight. Santiago pushed himself off the wall he was leaning on and walked up to him.

"Did you find anything?"

The professor smiled.

"Normaly I am a man of science, but I believe that this magic will solve everything my friend."

Santiago nodded to the professor.

"So we can stop the demons now?"

A look of concern came to the professors face.

"Well, you see it is a little more complicated than that, but I think that with a little help from Ishiaro, we can do this."

The sky darkened and the air grew cold. Something was wrong. Santiago felt it comming closer.

"Demons." He whispered. "Professor get close to me. We have some company."
