Did anyone else notice, when Hiei's katana breaks at the blade... he simply puts it away and when he takes it out again, it's fixed?

Uhh... plot device? Basically it's one of those little mysteries in anime that we are just supposed to over look and accept. Knowing Hiei, he probably has a couple of katanas that he stashes in different places. Likely though, it was just a slip up on the writers' parts and you're just supposed to roll with it.

Me neither. I only remember his sword breaking once...and it stayed broken, until a few episodes later. If that's what you mean, then I would assume he has many more in storage.

...my theory is he goes back to Shigure, and has it fixed, or, he uses Hammerspace. Hammerspace does EVERYTHING. Like Duct tape.

I recall Hiei's blade breaking and magically repairing itself, but what do you mean at the blade???

Animation!fail is the best answer to anything like that, if it's never explained.
C'mon. Old 90s animes are just made. I doubt it had the highest budget eva. xD
