i thought it sucked because of the end but the acters/actresses were great. especially lee scorsbey

I thought the whole movie sucked, the plot went to fast and it seemed like they cut out too many scenes so the story was semi-confusing
The special effects were the only good thing in the movie, expecially the bear fight!

My friend said the whole movie sucked and she didnt like it I told her to read the book but she said because the movie was bad she thought the book would be bad too I told her that wasnt always the cercumstances but she didnt listen xp

I liked the movie, but I haven't read the book...I got it after seeing it though and going to get to it after getting some other reading done.

if you read the book first, you would probobly not like the movie as much: the skip a lot but its still a good movie though.

yeah they did cut out a lot but if you think about it the couldnt add everything or else you would be at the movies all night (they would have to pass out crackers and sleeping bags xp

It's strongly anti-christian. Well, at least the book is. They're going to have trouble keeping that out of any sequels, because it's a strong part of the storyline of the book series.
Anyway, I haven't read nor seen the Golden Compass. XP My friend does book/movie reviews on her blog, and that's what she wrote about it. I've seen a lot of movie reviews saying the same.
