(What do you guys think of this scenerio?)

Hiashi takes a young Neji to Suna with him on a mission of peace.

While there Neji goes out exploring. Suddenly, a large group of children run past him in a panic. Curious, he investigates the direction that the came from, only finding a dry park.

Once there, he happens upon a little boy, holding a teddy bear and sitting alone on a swing.

Neji approaches the boy and says, "Hi, my name is Neji, what's yours?"

The little boy looks up at him in surprise but answers, "Gaara"

(Well? You think it might have potential? I was thinking of writing a fic)

You have to take into consideration that Neji is young in this scenario. So you can't really say it's out of character since we don't know much about the way he was as a child.

We have seen enough Neji flashbacks to know how he used to be a s kid. He was more cheerful but none the less he was still pride full. I guess in AU would work since blood lines usually are not interested in being social with other people outside their clan, flashbacks are also proof of that, except this time it also includes the Uchiha clan( Notice how Neji didn't care about being social outside his team and because he had to work with his team). Also Hiashi IS the one taking Neji meaning that his dad already died, there for he's a bitter, dark child. Unless the Author wants to change Neji's whole background, Neji is already the same way he was when he was 12.

I can see Neji being interested in Gaara, but no talking to him right away, considering he IS from another village also, and different villages just don't o-o go on and make friends with each other as we have seen in the anime.

poisonivy94@ a background can change in a fanfic o-o....it doesn't matter if Neji's childhood was like that because the Author may change it. Also the only thing I can see linking Gaara and Neji is the fact they both when through heavy racism.



I'm just very picky and look at all the details in fics ._. that's all there is to it ( which is why it takes me forever to write a fic that is NOT crack), plus it doesn't help I like the characters to be IC instead of OOC. But like I said, it sounds like a fluffy, cute fic.
