Avatar seems to have some pretty pimptastic old folks, what with the eastern philosophy revering the elders. The quality seems lost on the modern world, where we stick our elders in a nursing home and do our best to forget them and their great wisdom. domokun
Sure, the young crowd is impetuous and really good at being stupid.
This is a discussion for the 50+ crowd.
Iroh is the Master, it goes without saying, but Hamma has proven herself to be innovative and efficient, if a little off her rocker (BumiHamma 4eva!). Finally, an old, amazing bender of the female denomination!

yes the elders are very well done characters.
Iroh is the best- with his wise saying and quirky since of humor
I would like to see more of Gran Gran she is mentioned occasionally but we have not actually seen her since the first season.
