Talk about any movies surrounding the intense subject of organized crime, from Cagney to Coppola to DiCaprio.

Lomedin question i would not call the people on that film gangsters more than u could do it with the black people in harlem xd it is considered a mob movie...just in a different style... not every gangster is neccecarily a irish or itallian guy from the 70ties in america.. but i still have to watch it... i know gw3nn0w saw it...but she never shows her face around here...

Never!! never ever have i seen such cold blooded ruthless violent scenes like that...that were actually realistic and believable.. as in eastern promises what a movie...so good..
the entire story is much more symphatic then i would have expected...which makes those scenes even worse...it was awesome...i was really pressed against the back of my seat when they did that...and it was sad that the movie was over...at the end...you guys have to watch it...its an absolute masterpiece

I have heard good things about this movie. One of these days I plan to check it out.
So, does anyone have any favorite mob movies?

professorB I have heard good things about this movie. One of these days I plan to check it out. So, does anyone have any favorite mob movies? eastern promises is my favourite now together with road to perdition i loved the way they remade those 40's. it was very convincing and the maffia sphere was everywhere. what kuma says about eastern promises is all true. awesome movie. i also thought its was brave of viggo to do a scene where he fights naked and its not censored

Goodfellas and The Road To Perdition are both really good. I haven't seen Eastern Promises, but I'm a bit skeptical about it, considering I've never really been a fan of David Cronenberg's work. My favorite mob movie is definitely Miller's Crossing. Like The Road To Perdition, Miller's Crossing had a very classic, 1940's feel to it, which I really enjoyed. It was a pretty vicious movie at times, but it was superbly written, acted, and directed. For those of you who haven't seen it, I cannot recommend it highly enough.
