I've got nothing against the army itself, let me say that right out.
But if you join the army and have kids I will ******** hunt you down and do something terrible to you.
The first move wasn't so bad. I mean, it was thousands of miles from my original home, and I didn't really leave that many friends behind.
But by ******** god the second one has torn me to pieces.
I'd lived in the old place for two years.
Without traffic, I live about a 4 hr car drive from my old home.
Four hours. Not that far if you think about it.
But.
I left a best friend, multitudes of other friends and a could have been boyfriend behind. (We didn't date because I was moving and he had a gf at the time, but that's a different story.)
Now, I've sorta adjusted to my new home. I've got a couple of friends, and (in general) like my classes.
I have also managed to get over the guy I liked.
However, the guy I like now lives at my old home. It wouldn't have been that bad.
Really.
But we're all army brats. Maybe air force brats.
And he's moving. To the States. In January. I've only really talked to him irl once. I *hope* to see him once more before he moves.
I seriously can't take this.
So, like I said. The army/airforce and kids don't mix.
At all.

...How old are your parents?
I know that one of my best friends went into the navy a little less than a year ago. He recently came back for a short while but he is heading out again pretty soon.

Meh. 50+
But, we're technically not 'army' we're 'civil service'
Which means we do what the army tells us, but my dad/mom doesn't get deployed.

YOU STAY AWAY FROM ME. >.> Actually... that was my idea of a joke. Pretty stupid, I know, and probably not the best in this scenario. But I probably don't even know you, unless you live in the hillbilly-infested, backwater town of entiat. I od know a Lydia here, but she constantly has these eyes that look like she's coked out... and she stares. I'd also like to say (and you could call me a very FIRM hater of txt talk) that I don't approve of your usage of the term WTF? If you're going to type, even if you're freaked out, please SPELL OUT YOUR WORDS. That's why I joined the Gaian Grammar Guild, and I figured that this guild would have as strict a policy against this as it did. I may be wrong, though. stressed

Strict policy? *laughs* very strict. EDIT: My real name isn't Lydia, it's a nickname of sorts. Enitat? Never heard of it. But you could have been an internet stalker. xd

Yeah, air force. I'm on my ninth school, and my dad was just saying that we're probably going to move again in a year. I'm not sure what to do with that, since I haven't figured out what I'm going to do with college yet and I don't think I'm going to be staying in Japan for it.
Moving a lot didn't really bother me until freshman, sophomore year in high school. I was always terrible with meeting people, and there were some personality clashes.
Broke up with my boyfriend because of long distance (Lydia = yeah, I'm talking about Alex), I just didn't feel anything anymore. Too far away, you know? Never really got to talk to him, except through online, and that's not enough for me.
