Hi all I do not mean to bring you all down with a depressing thread.
Anyway, my family has an old kitty who has been very sickly over the past year. And has taken a turn for the worse and is not going to get better. So I just got back from the last time I will see her before she takes her long nap...
So... yeah moment of silence if you would be so kind? And if I am not on for a few days you guys know why now. Thanks.

(Though that needs no saying, you know that well enough already.) Do you know what is wrong with her? If it really is the end for her, may it be as painless as possible at least. I'd offer a hug and to share my kitty with you for a while (even though it is no replacement), but the complications on such offers are pretty obvious . . . when/if you get another kitty eventually though, might I recomend one of THESE?

Ah yes the glowy kitties. I want one to glow for me whee
Anyway it was not the cat we deemed "My kitty" it was my sisters cat, but a family cat no less. And my sister, in her distress... she was there during the... time... went out and adopted another kitty. If it was "My" kitty you would not know I existed for a few weeks.
Anyway, this kitty was very sickly, her kidneys failed or were failing last year... and a few months ago she tore her ACL... and apparently she was anemic. It was just really sad to think that night was the last night I would have ever seen her.
I am ok now though thanks for the hugs.

eek Suffocated? Was it a fatal case? Poor kitties lately . . .
And I'm glad to hear it wasn't "your kitty" at least Xeno. Still a shame it was any kitty you knew, but we can agree that yes, "your kitty" would have been worse for you.

We have six other cats so it's not so bad, three of which are still little kittens, so it's been okay.

~shakes fist~ just you wait one day I will have my own kitten/cat army and we will go on conquests and have super cool adventures and cuddle crying just you watch. My kittyless void will be filled soon. crying

Aww... I'm so sorry for your loss, xeno... *hugs her own two little kittens* I remember how sad it was when one of my cats was hit by a car and died in my arms. I cried for weeks... It was also hard on me when another one of my cats was eaten by a coyote... Damn those 'yotes... First all my chickens, then my cat... I just wish that they weren't pushed to such extremes by all the construction going on around here.
