Seriously, I've just come to dislike the holiday,
especially around Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
I dislike hearing what people will be doing, and
what they think they'll get for Christmas.
I dislike seeing all the decorations and such.

I dislike being left out around Christmas time,
'cause I don't get any of this stuff. No tree,
no decorations, no Christmas dinner, no friends
and family singing carols or whatever.
I haven't had a Christmas tree since I was
in middle school, maybe earlier.
And I just graduated high school.

Christmas just makes me feel
depressed and lonely.

Sorry to put a damper on your holidays.

I actually agree with you wholly. It just makes me want to burrow under the covers till it's over...

Aw, don't think too much you guys 3nodding
Even you don' t have those joyful spirits and moments, you still got a nice reason for a break from work, right? xd
It's okay to dislike a holiday, but no matter how you hate it, it's still coming to you.
So why not just use a different way to look at them? whee

@ Hanna: No money for it. neutral

@ gomamon: It's really hard to, 'cause it's always the same.
When I'm older, I'm gonna change it, but right now, I just
don't like it, 'cause I'm always alone and such.

Take me down to the Paradise City
Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty...

nothing at all, or just not stuff you like? the way things are going at my house right now, I'll be thankful if we can get through the winter without the roof collapsing or another vehicle breaking down (or, worse yet, the furnace -_-), considering that we barely have the money for it right now...

i'm sure people give you stuff on here around this time of year... does that count for something? i would at least appreciate that much, on top of what you have with you... even if life sucks, for me, thinking about all those people who have no home, let alone heat or any bed at all, kinda dampens the feeling of depression a little : and if all else fails, you have a (dysfunctional) family on here who will shower you with love and all that fun stuff whenever you need it...

or at the very least, make you laugh your pants off when we do stupid things biggrin

Oh won't you please take me home?

The only reason I kinda like Christmas is because you get to sing Christmas carols really loud...but mind you I do that from about march to august as well sweatdrop

Oh please. I'm sorry if I'm being rude or what, but attitudes like this really just piss me off. Christmas is what YOU make of it. Being depressed and lonely won't help you at all.

So what if you don't get a tree, so what if you don't get a fancy Christmas dinner, so what if your friends aren't around to hang out with, so what if you don't have decorations, so what if your family doesn't sing ******** carols or you don't get presents. That's not what Christmas is about. Don't be bitter about other peoples' plans, make some of your own.

Aww. No Christmas tree since middle school? I haven't had one since the 4th grade, boohoo. My dad doesn't even bother to come home from Christmas or send us presents and do you see me complaining? No.

Get out of your rut and FIND away to enjoy it. It'll come around every year for the rest of your life. Get over it. Be happy. Lot's of people have it worse and still enjoy it. Think of the people on the streets, if they can be happy, you sure as hell can.

What the hell is there to be left out of? If you want to see decorations, walk through town.

Sorry lovely, I didn't mean to lash out on you, but what needs to be said needs to be said.

Remember, depression only brings more depression. Things could always get worse. Improve them before they do.

**I don't mean to be argumentative, but I have to speak my mind.. As you did Eis**

*Chuckles* Ahh Eisbee... Quite an inspiring speech.

But you forget that you don't know why people don't like Christmas, or their reasoning behind it. ((Well, I don't know if you know Alcohol Induced Psychosis or not.. But you don't know me yet, and I don't know if you were even speaking to me. But I am going to assume so, because you said "attitudes like that.")) I for one, have a reason, and so I feel justified in my feelings. Though that is great that you are able to look in the bright side of things, sometimes that's just not possible. Well, speaking for myself of course.

Er, sorry Mon, I was only talking to Alcohol Induced Psychosis. I should've been more clear, but if I was addressing you too, I would've said *these. No, I don't know her irl, if she was one of my friends, I probably would've slapped her. My reply was centered around her explanation.

The thing is, I don't look at the bright side of things. Actually, I happen to be strait out pessimistic. I just suck it up.

D: Sorry guys, I didn't want arguments floating around...
I was having a rough day week and I just needed to get stuff off my chest.
Usually, I'm fine with Christmas, I've just been feeling lonely and such.
And I was freaking pissed that church youth group is canceled for ALL OF WINTER BREAK. D:<
Which means even less chance to get out of my house and hang
out with friends.

I guess I just don't have a lot of good friends.
Most of them make plans with me and then cancel at the last minute.
Or their parents, for some strange reason, suddenly don't seem
to like me and constantly say no whenever they ask if they
can hang out with me. 0_o

I am very thankful for the things I have, and the friends I have
[that don't constantly ditch me... even though I'm thankful for
the others, too, 'cause they're good friends in different ways.]

Heh, Kalsta, we're basically in the same position... D:
Good luck to you, dear. <33 I hope things are better soon. :]

Angelic, I do the same thing! I love Christmas carols!
Though I generally dislike contemporary Christmas music.
Choir nerd, FTW! XD

Hanna, Are you stalking me? XD
Shweeeeeet. <33

Eisbeere, thnaks for that, I think I needed it. :]
If you knew me in real life and slapped me, I would've been angry
for all of five seconds. XD
By left out, I just meant that most of my friends cancel plans
with me to go do other things for Christmas. And... my mom glues
herself to the computer. So I'm kinda stuck doing the same.
Walking through town by myself at night

1) is not a very smart thing to do.
2) won't make me feel like I'm a part of anything.

But it's a good idea... XD I'll just have to borrow a
bigger knife from my friend James... XD

That's nice to hear. I'm glad it's not a total depress for you. I do apologize again for my little outburst. ;3 I hope you find a way to enjoy the holidays to the fullest. Besides darling, a nice cup of tea and some snack on Christmas evening can do wonders~.
