I always have the trouble with every peircing I get done even if its profecinaly done it still end up messed up. It seems no matter how much cleaning I do any on my surface peircings seem to migrat or get infected like my eyebrow which has half the amout of skin left then what my peircing started with. Also I am lucky to get every ear peircing infected to. I clean them? And use new earing every time I peirce them?
I am just wondering if there might be a desiese that could cause this or maybe a certin type of gauge to make my surface peircings from dwittling away to nothing. o.O;;

Surface piercings tend to reject with time.

But as for ears, I'm not sure? Maybe you're just one of those unlucky people who's body's can't take the trauma of a piercing. I'm not sure other from that. And no, it's not a disease or anything like that. (:

have you tried using jewelry of different materials in the piercings? Maybe you have a sensitivity to certain metals. Trying things like bioplast (sp?) might help you out, since some people are allergic to metal.

there is always the possibility of overcleaning. my ears have a tendency to get irritated very easily too - cartilage piercings especially. they almost always go through a bad spot before actually healing.

i would take bytch's advice, and also stick with piercing that aren't surface piercings. and whatever you do, DON'T take them out if they seem infected. trapped infections are no fun - have you considered going to a doctor for antibiotics?

Body Candy has a decent selection of bioplast body jewelry. 3nodding

Have you tried tea tree oil? That stuff saved my navel piercing when it was looking really irritated. I found the best way to clean it was to run a Qtip under some water and dip it in the tea tree oil. That stuff needs to be diluted or it doesn't do much. At least for me...

I definately agree that you may be allergic to certain metals. Fake gold is a big no-no for me. After a few hours my ears get all angry-burny-owies and bleed. D:

Mmk, enough blabbering. Tea tree oil= YAY! cheap jewelry with unknown metal content= hell no. And when in doubt, go with bioplast. heart

Yes. I have the same problem with the fake gold. Ick.
When I get pierced, I go with titanium. It costs a little bit more, but I don't have any problems with it. Here's a good selection of titanium. I love this site, by the way. They also have a nice selection of acrylic jewelry.
