I would have to say my favorite character is Riku. And no, it is not because of his looks. This last year there have been three events that have led me to this conclusion.
One, is that I have suffered a terrible loss and will never see one of my friends again, but during the process I fell into darkness and let it control me, much like Riku did.
Two, obviously, is when one of my friends introduced me to the game on my birthday...
And three, I've always been drawn to the characters who struggle the most internally... Weird, but true... I always seem to be able to connect somehow... emo

I obviously have to say Ansem from KH1. I refuse to accept Diz as Ansem, thus anytime I say something about Ansem, I'm refering to Xehanort's heartless.
What first got me to likeing him is kind of odd. When he was first talking to Sora and made the "One who knows nothing can understand nothing" comment, I laughed. I realized that in a very subtle way he'd called Sora stupid, thus endearing him to me, because I like brainy statements. It takes a lot of smarts to be able to come up with a statement that people may not realize was an insult until days later, usually in math class, because that's how math class is. So yes, that was the begining of the connection. It remained as a purely intellectual connection (he was still my favorite because really smart usually equals awesome in my mind), then I saw him without a robe and not possessing Riku and my brain stopped for a second 'cause I thought he was really attractive.

Wow... I'm glad I'm not the only one who caught that the first time... hehe... The friend who introduced me to the game took about I'd say......almost a year to figure out that the Man who gives Sora the card to Traverse Town in Castle Oblivion was Marluxia... -.-' It took me about where you first meet Axel... -.-''' How sad is that?

Art is a Bang ~My favorite characters are Riku and Namine whee
Namine-I liked Namine because she was just an interesting character I guess. I liked how she didn't have an x in her name like the other nobody's whee lol. In KH2 when I first watched the all the Twilight cutscene's(Which I watched before playing CoM so I didn't know anything) I thought she was quite cool being able to manipulate Sora's memories however she wanted.
Riku- I like Riku for sooo many reasons. When I first saw him on KH I didn't like him at first but eventually he grew on to me and I have loved him ever since. Riku was an evil character and a good character through KH and I love characters like that(Thats why I don't hate Light/Raito for getting Rem to kill L). Riku unlike Sora gave into the darkness and he was originally the keyblade master too which is pretty cool.
In KH2 he wasn't really in the game as much as he was in KH but when he returned to his normal self near the end of the game I was like holy crap he's gotten hot! lol but in KH I didn't like him for his looks and I still think the same but in KH2 you gotta admit he does look good.
On a side note I give David Gallagher a thumbs up for doing Riku's voice. Riku's voice matches him not like all the characters that I usually see in anime's and stuff.~ Art is a Bang

He did an excellent job. I also have to say Jesse McCartney did a good job with Roxas's voice as well... [heard a rumor he might be doing Ven's as well...]

Yeah, David Gallagher did a really good job with Riku's voice. Same with Jesse McCartney.
Moving on: Why do I like Vexen? Honestly, it started because I got my rear handed to me on a silver platter by him in COM so many times that I just had to respect him. Then I realized he was a scientist (coincidently, it was in Biology) and that made my geeky side go "Yay!" Thus he's sort of become a muse for my ridiculous science-ish ideas such as "I wonder what would happen if a single zombie were released into the school gym while there's an assembly going on?" It's probably going to end up as a comic series if I ever get around to drawing it.
As for Axel: he acts like me. Pretty much, if you replaced Axel with me you'd get pretty much the same results. Save for the killing Vexen part.

Why do I like Zexion? Well, let's just say I can be as manipulative as he is when I'm in between a good or bad mood... *is a bit of a fangirl* Also...for some reason when I first played Reverse/Rebirth I was thinking "What's with the bluish silver hair?" but as I played and saw how, well, scheming and manipulative he was something clicked. For some reason I've always liked guys who were like that yet loyal to their cause since I'm like that as well. It made my cunning side come out. biggrin

Indeed. Like Axel, I sometimes plot too, and attempt to pull the strings while not appearing like I am (with varying degrees of success). It can also be difficult to tell who's side I'm on, or I might switch sides, but if you earn my friendship, I'll be infinatly loyal to you, i.e. Axel's loyalty to Roxas. mrgreen

@Twilight:Sora doesn't think first he acts before he thinks and Roxas is alittle the other way around. I had an ex-friend who was obsessed with Sora and converted me to hating Roxas and Kairi but because I'm not her friend anymore I start to realize on what an idiot I was XD.
