i just remember this is the book that showed the true richard. richard never told anita he was a werewolf till he walked into anita hospital room after she seen him get his throat ripped out. and to me it seems that richard hated himself then just as much as he hates himself now, just for not telling anita what he was.
btw, that would scare me too seeing my bf walk into my room all healed up after seeing him die, and i didnt use my powers to reanimate him, lol

This was one of my favorite books in the series. So much sexual tension between Jean Claude and Anita, most of it in that scene where JC is checking Anita for Alejandro's marks. I felt so sorry for JC, wanting Anita like he did and watching her want Richard (but the three of them have so much threesome potential if RAZ would stop being so homophobic).

richard was never meant to become a werewolf, he had a bad batch of the vaccine, so i can understand his feelings and how he dont want to be part of the monsters, he just dont realize that hes is the monster and the only way for him to be perfect is to die. (hell even in harlequin the ardeur is conflicted with richard cause he wants to not be a werewolf but the ardeur cant fix that)

I'm holding out hope that he gets over it in the next full length novel, or at the very least starts to. His angsting about it really does grate on a persons nerves after a while.
