Burnt Offerings is the book the first introduced Nathaniel. Who got attacked by someone and all he could remember was that smell (I can't remember what he said it was). Did Anita ever find out who did it? Because she said she would and if she did it never clicked with me. I still suspect it was the vamp who could cause fires and had butterflies as his animal to call. Butterflies - it's so cute!

Butterflies - it's so cute! hehe it much have been awhile since i read this book, i forgot that this was nathaniels 1st book, drool! its so sad about that vamp with butterflies for an animal to call, he had that vamp disease that liquified him so he couldnt do much help (oh i hope i got that right, its had been a while and i tend to forget things, lol) but its cool that he got an animal to call just before he gave up his life.

Yeah I think that's right! lol. I think it also introduced the concept that some vampires can walk around in the day. In Incubus Dreams they found that Damien's powerful enough to do it but because of his friend dying he just can't doing it. Which means if he could walk around duing the day it COULD have been him that attacked Nathaniel! Prove me wrong! lol

damian can be in the sun, cause of the 4th mark with anitas 2nd triumvant (in a later book of course) and damian is like 2000 yrs old and never a master he wont and now cant ever me a master vampire, you cant be a master vamp if you're a "human servant" or more appropriate a vampire servent to a necromancer.

the butterfly vamp went into the sun to die, he cant be in the sun, although i dont know how he was still up and not dead to the world during the sun-up.

I think I thought he lived...it's been a while since I've read this one. If he dies that would explain why Anita never found the person who attacked Nathaniel.

MandaG Lol...some crazy synchronised reading the only way that could truely happen is if we have a multi-way phone call and one of us is reading outloud, lol. i was almost thinking about typing what your reading in the towns but that would be too difficult and time consuming.

hey it can work, but the only problem is the difference in the time zones and when everyone is available to talk all at once. even now on gaia, we are not all on at the same time. heck i think ive seen only 2 other on at the same time as me, and there are 7 of us for this guild, lol
