What do you think are the chances of the manga having a slightly more romantic ending that the anime?
Though I haven't watched the anime, I hear it had absolutely no romance at all, which probably is okay with Cartoon Network. On the other hand, manga doesn't have to be controlled by Cartoon Network, even though there is always ViZ, I think they are less strict than CN. Any thoughts?
PS: I belive in contructive critisism. So go ahead and stomp on my theories.

I think there's certainly a better chance for their relationship to end in romance in the manga. Although it really depends on your definition of romance... seeing them settled down together? Yes. Some graphic hot smex chapter? No.
Well, it depends whether you consider the movie or episode 51 to be the end of the anime... in episode 51 their relationship advances quite a way (even to the point of being out of character) and they implied that something happened between them in the two years between series' end and the movie... but nothing did happen between them in the movie (for the five minutes they were in it stare ) so all you can do is wonder... or harass BONES for an OVA.
And yeh... I'm one of those 'Manga owns the anime BAD' people. XD

I think there might be a slightly romantic ending in the Manga because of all that happened in it. There was certainly alot more than the Anime... xp
Personally, I think that the Anime should have used Barry the way the Manga does...

I knew that, but they still have a lot of comics out still, and I could check to see if there's a hint of bit more romance.

There are alot of romance hints in the manga... I've read all of the ones that have been released so far.

I most definitly think that there will be some sort of romance in the end. From where the manga has been going I definitely think so. I mean I really don't want to give spoilers but after 39 they got closer together...at least I think so. Plus w/ Hiromu Arakawa's style so far w/ relationships besides Havoc (LOL poor poor Havoc) they seem to be getting closer as well in the same sort of way...kinda. I don't think that Viz would mess it up though. I eman Vizz can be bad w/ some of their works but I don't think they'll mess w/ FMA. They didn't interfere much when it came to the Tenchi mangas. LOL yeah if yuo can't tell I'm a big manga person as well sweatdrop

I think the manga definitely has a good chance of having some sort of romantic ending. It seems to have more hints than the anime does, and they're a little more clearer. Besides, I heard Ed/Winry is basically canon (or almost is) in the manga, so I think that gives RoyAi a better chance. 3nodding
