So, in my search for tokens and tickets, I posted a thread in the exchange forum.

Naturally, I've gotten several responses already.

Here's one conversation:

No, I'm sorry, just a few of the fish alone are worth more than that.

ok 100 tickets

100 tickets = 231 gold

For that you can get:
9 brown bass = 72 gold
9 green bass = 108 gold
3 blue bass = 30 gold
11 guppies = 22 gold
Total = 232 gold

fine 100 tickets and 1 gold send trade please!

The first offer was just ridiculus.

And note: In the thread, I stated that I valued tickets at 2 gold each, and two of the guppy types are 3 gold each.

So it was a really good bargin for him. And he's short with me.

Anybody else find people who are just never happy?

I would have told him absolutely not after that first offer.
He should have been ashamed of such a small offer.

I've stayed away from the exchange just because of people trying to take advantage of you as if you don't realize how much things are worth or won't do the research to find out.

Marketplace is mostly way overpriced for tokens, and the decently priced ones go really fast. So I figured I'd try at the exchange forum.

I doubt I'll do so again once I'm done with this.

Thank you both, but I think (thank you fallen!) I've got enough tokens to last me till I get the sword. ^_^

Well, with my ticket strategy I usually average 2 or 3 tickets to 4 tokens. Then I sell for 2.5 each. Pretty easy. Very little thought involved, and no using the cheating button.

The cheating button: when you are playing cards, every time you lose the red line under your little avatar picture gets filled. When it's filled completely a button comes up and it says 'cheat'. If you press it you can either peek at the cards the dealer has or make him redraw. I hardly ever use them as they don't do anything. When the dealer cheats, he wins. I cheat, I still don't ... most of the time, so I stopped using it.
