Thanks very much for inviting me to this guild! I've always thought, if used properly, these DTTPAY threads could be wonderful places to spread Gaia love. ^_^

I will. It's at 9:35, so I'm going to bed now. Hopefully I don't choke. I always choke and get nervous because it's two people sitting there judging how well you'll be able to use the piano in a classroom setting for the rest of your life and if I don't pass this time that means thousands of dollars more in tuition for an extra semester! blaugh
G'night everybody

ME TOO!!!! Well... sitting and waiting for my turn, I got nervous. The piano I originally sat down at didn't feel right and it screwed up my entire feel of the bass and baritone lines of "Lonesome road" so I moved onto an electronic keyboard instead and everything went well from there even considering that I forgot my glasses and there were times where a couple of the staves looked like one because my right and left eyes don't always work together. Then I had to play the accompaniment to "Death and the Maiden" I practiced two pages because there was a double bar at the end of the page. I get to the end and the professor says "ok... next page?" "What next page?" I look and there's another two entire pages that I had to sightread in order for any of my proficiency to count. Then I found out that by not passing this one I may not only be here for one extra semester, but three because I would have to switch from a BS in Music Ed to a BME because the university is in the process of making the switch and the courses that I need will no longer be available to me after this year unless enough of my class fails the proficiency and they need to offer the classes a year later... There is about a 1% chance that I'll be able to redo Death and the Maiden and not be held back if that's the only thing I didn't pass. But it's a VERY slim chance... let's see, this will amount to about a $20,000 mistake without loan interest...

I know... tell me about it. Well, I've gotta pack and get ready for my jury and then go home. I share a computer at home with 4 sisters, so I probably won't be on every day.
