This will be where I post the interesting facts i find Online.
They are easy to find information that I just squished into this nice post about the books for you crazy people. In the second post will be harder to find information for you!

Simone originally appeared in Night Pleasures in the morgue scene with Amanda and Kyrian, but was taken out when Sherri's original editor decided that the readers didn't need to meet her yet.

Dragons have always held a fascination for Sherri. She's been collecting them since she was three years old and has a "luck" dragon that she keeps on her desk. Before she was published, she would squeeze her luck dragon who would roar before she mailed out her manuscripts.

Night Embrace was written twice. Sherri was so unhappy with the original version that she tossed it out and rewrote it from scratch.

Factoid: To date, Night Embrace is the longest of the Dark-Hunter novels. The draft came in at 840 pages in length. Sherri shaved off 100 pages.

The original title was Into the Night. It was changed to Night's Embrace and then the publisher decided to drop the 's to make it Night Embrace.

Dance with the Devil spent a combined total of 13 weeks on bestseller lists. It was the first book to reach #1 at Waldenbooks and is counted as one of the favorite of fans. It peaked at #76 on the USA Today list. Factoid: Because of the out of control nature of the hero, Sherri didn't tell her editor what the book was about before she handed it in. Though Sherri has never been to Alaska, she has several good friends who live there who helped her with the scenes in the book. Sherri herself adores cold weather and would gladly live there if her husband could ever learn to tolerate it.

Sherri wrote Kiss of the Night to help readers understand the Apollite/Daimon world and their mindset. She doesn't see them as innately evil, but rather asks the question, "What would you do if you were unfairly cursed to die on your 27th birthday? Would you die docilely or would you fight tooth and nail to live even another day longer?"

Kiss of the Night was written while Sherri was staying with her mother in the hospital. The book hit the NYT three days after Sherri had buried her mother. To this day, this book is very bittersweet for her.

In the original version of Seize the Night, the body count was so high that one of my critique partners pointed out that New Orleans would have called in the National Guard. So I tweaked the body count a bit--it's still a good blood bath though.

Several readers have asked what's the difference between Thanatos and Alexion. Besides the obvious one that Artemis is in control of Thanatos and Acheron is in control of Alexion, there's the matter that Thanatos is called out after a Dark-Hunter is judged rogue (or whenever Artemis wants a particular one dead). Alexion is called in when there is a group of Dark-Hunters about to rebel. The judges are for individuals. Alexion is riot control for the masses.

Sins of the Night is set in Northern Mississippi where Sherri used to live. She even taught classes at Mississippi University for Women which is where the opening scene of the book takes place. Kyros's house is an old Victorian mansion in Aberdeen that Sherri toured several times during the parade of homes. She even has pictures of her children playing in the yard there.

The original title for Sins of the Night was Sins of Innocence.

Wren made his first appearance in Night Embrace and Sherri was beguiled by him. She was in the middle of writing Xander and Brynna's story when Wren appeared and wouldn't let her rest until she'd written his story.

Sherri designed the original Unleash the Night cover.

Some fans have said that Nicolette is very different in this book than she's been in the past. The key thing to remember is that Nicolette is first and foremost a bear, and just like any animal there are those she likes and those she doesn't. She has been cold from the beginning such as in the case of throwing Vane out. But in Vane's case, she liked him. In the case of Wren, she hates him. He isn't right in their world and like any animal, she attacks him. It's just the nature of hte beast.

Ravyn was one of the first books I had planned and I've been dying to write this one forever. But I had to wait for certain things to occur before I could get to it. There are a lot of surprises in this one. Things that I thought wouldn't happen for a couple more stories, but I have to say that this is one of my faves to date. Susan and Ravyn grabbed my heart, as did Cael and Nick. I'm constantly amazed by how the DH world grows and this time... it knocked me down. Ash is back, along with Savitar, Stryker and Nick. But one word of caution... fasten your seatbelts.

Sherri spent a week in Seattle with Erika Thomas (her assistant who appears in the book as a lark) scouting scenes for the book. She adored the city and can't wait to head back there.

Ravyn takes his last name Kontis, from Sherri's friend Alethea Kontis who is an official member of the Nashville posse. She is also the editor for Elemental and the author of the Dark-Hunter compendium.

I knew from the beginning what was going to happen to Nick. I wanted the reader to see the birth of a Dark-Hunter, only to have it with a twist. And even though I knew what was going to happen, I still cried when I wrote the scene.

The entire concept of the Dream-Hunters started from a slip of the tongue while Sherri was talking about the Dark-Hunters. No sooner had the word come out then she had the idea for the incubus branch of the Hunterverse.

Sherrilyn began writing Acheron's book in 1991. She's been working on it off and on until she completed the manuscript in 2008.

The demon Simi was born on a road trip. The whole idea of Ash having a symbiotic demon was divinely inspired. But the only person who can truly duplicate her accent is Janet when she's punch drunk.

The #2 Question Sherri is asked is... How the heck do you pronounce his name and why does he go by Ash?

The correct old Greek way to pronounce Acheron Parthenopaeus is Ack-UH-rahn Pahr-thin-OH-pay-us. Over time and because it was difficult for some cultures to correctly pronounce it, he used the more "modern" Ash-UH-rahn. Since Asheron and Acheron are both old names and he didn't feel like explaining it to people, he started going by Ash roughly 150 years ago. Personally, he prefers Ash and always refers to himself by it. But he will answer to any and all three names. Whenever he gives his full name in the contemporary books, he pronounces it Asheron.

My original plans for Nick was to introduce him as a cop. I wrote a few pages and realized the character didn't work. It was then he was reborn as a smart-mouthed teen. From that moment on, I knew I'd discovered the real man behind the snark.

Talon was originally a character in a fantasy series I wrote in high school. When I started the Dark-Hunters, I had to swipe my Celtic hero. I thought he'd make a perfect DH.

The inspiration for his mailbox came from my neighbor.

The idea of Ash's Alexion came while I was working at Eckerd Drugs and was really, really bored. As I stared into space, I realized that Ash would need a caretaker for his home while he was gone. That idea led to Alexion.

He meant the forum area in general was cluttered. Not that what you posted was cluttered.

No, don't stop posting. Just make sure things go in the right sub-forum or if it's already a forum topic just put it in there. I may not have mentioned this, but I have Ravyn on Forum Clean-up since I'm to lenient. I either move it mysele or let it stay because I'm a lazy Mo-fo.
