Here's my plight:
I want to make a cosplay like the japanese cosplays you can see on google image searches. You know, the ones of people wearing mobile suit armor and riding bikes and that kind of silly crap.
I MUST make myself a suit of armor to be either a Zaku, Gouf Custom, or Kampfer... something along those lines.
Does anyone have any ideas what sort of material they use, or anything along those lines? I don't know where to begin! emo

My guess would be molded thick , plastic, or aluminum with lots of paint considering that material is easy to manipulate.
I'm doing a mobile suit cosplay of my own for AX 2009. An entire M1 Astray made of aluminum, and plastic for the visors n' such.
Start at the torso.
